i just find the whole "end of the world" thing intriguing. i don't know of any "evidence", but i know that the Mayan calendar marks doomsday as 12/21/2012, and i believe there is another culture or whatever that believes it as well.

on a funny note, whenever something important comes up, i always joke that it's not that big, because we'll all be dead in five years anyway. my wife doesn't like me talking like that, so i say it more.

lol, I too believe it is, but I am very interested to know how you have come to this conclusion?
Well the main reason for all the 2012 hype is the Mayan Calendar, but no serious archaeologists think the Mayans were predicting the world to end in 2012.

As for Nostradamus and the Bible, their "predictions" are always nonsense. A major event happens, and people pore over copies of the Bible or Nostradamus's Quatrains and find something that roughly fits in with it. When somebody actually makes a prediction ahead of time, they're always inaccurate and forgotten about.

Doomsday predictions are dime-a-dozen, as you can see
here.

The world WILL end in 5 billion years when the Andromeda galaxy collides with ours. We'll be long gone by then, but it won't be because a mayan calender ends on that day/month/year
