According to Bobby Lashley’s official website www.BobbyLashleyOnline.com, the former ECW Champion has parted ways with World Wrestling Entertainment.

Lashley wrote the following in a forum post:

I am sorry to everyone here but I am serious when I say I won't be back. Everyone wants to come here and hear the real story and I am telling you the real story. Circumstances which are out of my control left me no decision but to leave the WWE. I can't go into details of this now but like I said before sometimes people will hate you personally and try to destroy you which has happened here. Evil has prevailed however like I said before if you continue your struggle doors will open around these people. You have not scene the last of me so please don't stop your support. Add Bobby Lashley to the list of RECENTLY RELEASED!

Nothing has been confirmed by WWE. We will certainly have more on this story as we get it.

If this is true, I'm thinking Kristal's release might have had something to do with it.

I'm not at all bothered, though. He didn't really offer anything, and there's always a chance his push will go to somebody more deserving.

no doubt they will give him the same deal as lesner got when he got released, not able to compete for rival promotions kind of thing.

Some more info:

The following was written by Richard Gray:

We are now able to confirm that Bobby Lashley is gone from World Wrestling Entertainment. In a phone call placed to WrestlingNewsWorld.com's Ryan Gray, Lashley said that he is gone from the company. While he would not give any specifics he made it clear that he did not want to leave but had too due to circumstances beyond his control.

Lashley told WrestlingNewsWorld.com's Ryan Gray that he was training hard for a potential career in Mixed Martial Arts. The former ECW Champion said that despite the fact that he wanted to pursue an MMA career, it would not be with UFC.

Lashley would not comment on whether or not he would be interested in going to TNA Wrestling. He said that WWE has granted his release but it would not be announced until the paperwork was finalized.
BOBBY LASHLEY-WWE UPDATE
by Dave Scherer @ 2:28:07 PM on 1/23/2008

Here is the latest on the Bobby Lashley-WWE situation. Lashley has definitely informed WWE that he wants to leave the company. There are a lot of reasons for him wanting to do so. The word we have gotten is that part of it has to do with how his girlfriend Kristal Marshall was treated by the company when she balked at being paired with Edge and doing the Lita gimmick, and was then quickly released. Let's just say that there is a line of thought that at least part of why she didn't want to do the angle was fear of a racial element being added to the storyline by the Smackdown creative staff.

I have also heard of other issues behind the scenes where Lashley reportedly feels like he hasn't been treated well himself while he has been out rehabbing. There is said to have been little communication between Lashley and Vince McMahon and no firm plans in place to get him back on TV now that his injury has healed and this was frustrating to him.

At this point, Lashley needs to negotiate an official release from WWE as he is still under contract (and thus is still listed on the company website). As always in this business, things can change at the drop of a hat but for now, his plan is to move on from WWE and then plan the next phase of his life.

Who in the E doesn't have limited in ring skills? HHH does the same shit over and over and is treated like a God. The thing about the WWE style is that you need to know how to work. Lashley was coming along fine before he left. His matches weren't bad at all. He definitely should stay.

Triple H has good matches. Its not the best comparison between them two.

Lashley is subpar, his last few matches were not close to decent. He has no charisma and like I said sounds like Mickey Mouse.

My point is that HHH is just as limited as almost any perfomer in the WWE. Lashley didn't work that well but in the end, his amateur background was starting to show and he was coming along well. Like I said, he was improving. And what does his voice and charisma have anything to do with his matches. Jump off the Lashley hate bandwagon! Hating is wack now!

Im not on a bandwagon, does having an opinion make someone a hater? or on a bandwagon? Ridiculus statement.

I was also on about his whole persona as a wrestler, his charisma and mic skills come into that.

John Cena is very adept at getting the best out of his opponents, and Chris Benoit could drag a *** match out of a coat rack. You can't use two matches to justify Lashley's WWE career.

If he had some personality, you could overlook his lack of in-ring talent to an extent. But he doesn't have any personality, and so I'm really not sad to see him go. He would only have come back and derailed Kennedy by dragging him into a feud.

Sure! Because Cena produced 5 star matches with the Great Khali.

And of course he lacked personality, but it was being developed. We all know that Lashley needs help on the mic, but as time goes on, it would've developed just like how it has been with many wrestlers. I'm not saying he was that good or anything but anybody with an eye could see his progress. I think he's got lots of potential and should stay with the E. The more he could develop, the more of a huge asset he could be. But knowing you, you don't understand that with time comes progress.
