NFL: Conference Championships

see, people always say that and think that, but those stupid mistakes could have just as easily been 6 points instead of an INT. it's just Brett's style, he's a gunslinger. he always takes chances, some work and some don't. which is why Favre has the record for most career TD's, AND has the record for most career interceptions. those stupid decisions don't seem so stupid when they work, and for the most part they all seem to be working pretty well this year.

of course that's not to say they can't be beaten, the Giants defense looks outstanding right now, when you can plug in the backups at key spots in a pinch and not suffer for it you know you're in a good groove. i'm going for the Pack, but i'm also a firm believer in any given sunday, which is why i don't bet on any games when all of my friends do lol.
shut up cunter, you over-analyzed it and the giants won... ;)

i think the giants can do it next week too... how likely? i dunno.. i can say this is the best superbowl that comes to immediate mind... last was good for me cuz the bears were in it, the year before sucked and the pats-eagles...eh.. it was ok... nothign to get hyped up about... this one could go either way and i'd be happy... pats go for perfection, or the giants end it as well as an nfc drought.... im watching feb. 2..

actually i didn't over-analyze anything, Brett played exactly the way i thought he would, but the chances didn't work in his favor this time. he's still one of the best to ever play the position, and if doubters like you want to continue to hate on him, well that's your problem.

as for the games... wow, just wow. GB shot themselves in the foot so many times with penalties, especially when the Giants were in the red zone, they practically handed that game to NY. i know Brett's probably feeling pretty sick today. all props go out to Plaxico Burress tho, that dude was catching everything yesterday and is a major factor as to why the Packers will be at home instead of in Arizona in 2 weeks. so Giants/Patriots in the Super Bowl. anyone expecting to see a replay of the week 17 game will be sorely mistaken. the Pats don't play around when it comes to the big games, and this is the biggest game of them all for them. GB, Giants, it really wouldn't have mattered who it was. my prediction: 38-17 Pats.

edit: how dumb is Tom Coughlin? did you guys see his face during the game or after? he looked like shredded cheese. dude should have worn a scarf last night, his face is probably aching today lol.

dont look at just his stats... 2tds and 2 int for 236 yards isnt bad... but look at what that last int cost him? they kicked a field goal because of that... how is that not going to come and haunt him?? he could have had all his risky throws turn up for the better, but if the one bad throw caused him his chance to play in the super bowl, or even have another shot at another drive if the giants didnt score, then that was just retarded...

but once again, that was a trademark Favre play. if the game were to be replayed, he'd probably make the same throw again. that's the point i was trying to make about those kinds of plays, they only look stupid if they don't work. you can say he sucks cock like you did before, because he took a chance and it didn't work, but after 2 years of missing the playoffs, a 38 year old QB on the doorstep of retirement took an upstart, very young team to the verge of the promiseland. that in itself is an amazing accomplishment, and solidifies Brett's place in NFL history even more than it already was. the loss hurts, of course it does, but there's always next year (i think we all know he's not going to leave the game just yet...)

well in that sense, yeah did well... given that it's been a while since they won a playoff game and favre mulling his retirement...i've seen favre play since i got into football when i was 7 in 96.... he is good.. i know that's his signature move, to take a gamble... but it gets old after a while, and in many cases it cost him points and/or games... his erratic plays are like mike vick running the ball... if it works, then hey, you got a 60 yard run from your qb... if it doesnt, vick looks like an asshole and people start thinking that him running like that as a qb is ridiculous and they start to doubt his talent... favre won a super bowl, and that's what the difference between him and vick.... had favre not won that super bowl, he wouldn't have half the attention on him that he does now... how great was marino? how many rings did he have?

Devon Do You Have The Quote From A While Back Where Favre Said Exactly What You Said, About If He Could Do Interception Plays Over Again Would He Of Done Different And He Explained It Is What It Is Like Proud Of Interception Record As Much As Touch Down Record.

I Loved What Ever He Exactly Said On It I Think I Saw It On Espn
