Jaguars 20 Patriots 31

so who watched the game? i thought it was a good game, one of those where the score doesn't really illustrate how close the game was. Jacksonville played well, but it just wasn't enough to overcome Tom Brady and the Pats. Brady had yet another amazing game, setting records for highest passer rating (141.2) and completion percentage (92.9%) in a postseson game. 26 of 28? that is just unreal in a playoff game. well now that they have officially beaten the Jags, i will go on record as saying the Pats will win the Super Bowl. but who will they play against?

Seattle 20 Green Bay 42
wow, Old Man Favre is back with a vengeance. who woulda thought, the Packers could spot the Hawks a 14-0 lead in the first 5 minutes of the game, and then come back to not just beat them but destroy them. props to Ryan Grant who, after losing 2 fumbles that Seattle took for scores, came back with 3 touchdowns and a franchise record 201 rushing yards. i was hoping for a closer game in this one, but the Pack is on a roll. my prediction? Green Bay/New England in the Super Bowl, with the Pats winning by a field goal. i know, that's a bold statement to make with 2 games yet to be played today, but i'm sticking to it. i can't wait for this afternoon tho, Chargers/Colts is gonna be a good one.

I watched both games at my mate's last night (fucking late for us Euro's).

I thought the Packers really came back well to dominate the game and put some big points down. They began rather shitty and the Seahawks capitalised on that, but then the Packers got themselves together and outplayed Seattle on every front.

Pats vs. Jags was indeed a close close game. The score doesn't show that. After having heard so much about the Patriots I can't help but think they didn't really have a good game. They haven't really dominated for a second and Jacksonville really gave them good opposition. In the end I think it was pure individual quality that saw the Pats win this game. They scored basically "out of nothing". Just individual quality by Brady and his recievers that can see them put a TD down within seconds when no one really saw it coming.

And whether your sport is football, volleyball or American football or whatever, it usually is the hallmark of a good team that they can win close matches that they themselves aren't really playing well in, purely on individual quality and moments.

Tonight the other 2 games. Too bad I can't watch those. Would've loved to see Chargers and Colts go at it.

Jags were in a great position until their last two possessions. Good game though.

Then who is this character Ryan Grant, I think he was like 2nd or 3rd best rusher in the AFC and kind of in a shadow then comes and does this. That bastard. Seattle never got into any type of rhythm, they played horrible on both ends of the ball, probably would have been different in Seattle.

Chargers deserved the win they just got, nothing to say but they know how to win, great game.

1) Grant is in the NFC.
2) He's led the league in rushing since he started (week 6 or 8, I don't remember). Who's shadow was he in?
3) It would not have been different in Seattle.

Lol.

NFC, woops..?

He was in the shadows, meaning I didn't think he was that good and when I got to see him have his career game it surprised me. He finished 9th in rushing too, not 2nd or 3rd like I guessed.

The game would have been completely different, Seattle would of had a chance to play their game and got into a good rhythm in dry conditions. You could tell watching the game it was in their head the whole time, look at Pollard and his drops. They might not have won but it wouldn't have been as bad of a game.

What's with the numbers, it isn't really neccessary.

To even think the jags would have beat tha pats shows you have no business picking games or watching the NFL.

hmmm, are you sure about that? you have heard the term any given Sunday right? i mean, who would have taken the Colts in last year's conference championship game? crazier things have happened, and nothing is impossible in the NFL.

lol well you got me there. but the Jags had every chance to win that game, they just couldn't get it done. everyone has a shot tho, there are no unwinnable games for any teams. hell, if the Giants can make it this far into the playoffs with Eli as their quarterback, anything can happen.
