Technology any wise guy that can help me with media player

I have had this problem for many years, when I enter a site that contains a video, and it uses media player to play it (not like youtube) the video appears in ugly colors, mostly green, it appears like in negative colors
anyone?

maybe a problem with your graphics card and its ability to play back video. make sure you have the correct settings enabled, the lastest driver is also a good idea. what card are you running on?

then check out what model do you have.
If you got graphic card drivers on cd then install them.

Also there is a chance that you have wrong codecs.
Search for a video codec pack online and install it.

You need to find out the exact model. Look in the device manager.

Then download the newest drivers.

I've checked my card, and it says it is an ATI Radeon Xpress Series, but when I search for the updates Xpress Series isn't displayed, only like ATI Radeon X1800 Series, but not Xpress Series

Ive tried changing the media settings, but I realized that also my card isn't working fine, the graphics are crapy even in FIFA 08, the thing is that I can't find the correct driver, as I said, I have an ATI Radeon Xpress Series, but I can't find a driver with the same name.
Thx guys for the support, if anyone know where to download the driver please tell me

Xpress series = X
model name = 1800
does it say xpress series 1800?

here just choose your Operating system, then Radeon and X1800 series.

If it doesn't say 1800 better don't download those drivers.
First check out which model you've got.
We know that it's ATI Radeon X series but we don't know the model number. Do you have any warranty or boxes where you could find that info?

too late I've tried with the 1800 and it isn't,I only have the box of the laptop but it doesn't talk about it

so that's a laptop not a pc?

Then tell us the model of your laptop and I'll check what kind of graphics card you've got there.
