King of the Iron Fist Tournament.

The latest chapter in the greatest fighting game series (sorry Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Fatal Fury & Art of Fighting) will be unveiled to the world very soon. Tekken 6 shapes up to be the most full on fist of fury game ever created with amazing graphics and unreal smooth gameplay. As someone who has conquered which installment in the series thus far I can say that I'm amped as a MUTHAFUCKA for this. With the PS3's much improved net play all I can really say now is, once it drops go cop that shit and battle me online...

On a side note... 7 Syns using Bryan Fury or Baek Do Sun = total annihilation to anyone, anytime, anyplace. Yeah I'm talking my shit up on this! lol. (wouldn't you if you hadn't lost using either of those 2 characters for 7 years?)

I spent so many weeks playing tekken 3

I think Dead or Alive was nearly comparable because there were more techniques but whoever played it, got bored after a day or two.

edit: O shit! The gameplay movie is so dope!! I have to play that!

Judging from the youtube video Id say the character models dont look as good as VF5 or even DOA4 both on the 360 but the environments are awesome. Ill get this.

watch the video on Tekken site, it's slightly better looking than VF. Dead or alive was always more about graphics so it looks better imo but when I think back even doe3 looked much better than all ps2 tekkens. I remember when I bought it I was under big impression.
But Tekken games were usually about great gameplay and they had that thing in them that made me play them a lot.
Dead or alive is more realistic tho with all their block/trapping and grappling techniques. Tekken is the type of game that can be played just by anyone - from random-button-pressers to those more skilled.

I don't think either VF5 or DOA4 is/was looking better then T6 (mind you it's not officially released yet).. both those games couldn't hold a candle against T5 which is 3 years older then both and it came out on ps2 and thats saying something. But their dope games regardless, I just never got into them as they were copies of Tekken in reality (yes I know VF came out before Tekken but still)..

The fact is, like Rukas mentioned that Tekken is mostly an arcade game like Virtua fighter. DOA is a combination of arcade game and fighting simulator with more techniques.
You can easily win in T or VF just pressing random buttons.
yes DOE was always leading graphics wise (take DOE3 for xbox - I'm still amazed when I play it).
Dreamcast DOE2 was also stunning.

Tekken was always more about gameplay but T6 looks really nice graphics-wise from what I see but still highly comparable with DOE4.
I'm sure that new DOE will be better than Tekken graphics-wise but it will have slightly worse gameplay.

Until you play someone who knows the ins and outs of certain characters. In the newer Tekkens the only character which button bashing will get you anywhere is Eddie Gordo/Christine Montero due to their almost unblockable capoeira style combos. i did hear thats been fixed up a little bit (much like the power of Bryan's Fury's mach-punch/kick which in T3 took almost half ya life & T4 used to take quarter + from health bar with one hit).

Their always doing that, improving game play by changing statistics of moves. Thats why I really dig Tekken, tho similar no chapter is the same as another.

And I don't think Tekken is as arcade as it used to be especially with the Force Mode, Volleyball or bowling etc.. It's a more complete package now with heaps of added goodies then just punch punch kick.

Yea Virtua Fighter was released on the Saturn before Tekken was released on the Playstation. I think Battle Arena Toshinden was the first fighting game released on the Playstation

I got VF5 for the Xbox 360 yesterday. Is it a good game? I havent played it yet.

I got VF5 when I bought my PS3, it's a good game but I prefer VF4
