Technology PS3 more popular than xbox 360

oh i know you're no fanboy.. haha.. im just saying its hard to speculate on games that arent out yet and say that they will be great.. its one thing to have exclusives.. go back to a couple posts of mine with the whole gamecube fanboys that would just list off names of exclusives. but it doesnt mean that they'll be good or if they are good that i will like them.. but you're not promoting the ps3, so i guess its fine..

i would suggest to anyone to wait atleast til next spring to make a decision.. one, there will be a price cut foro ne if not both... then after the holiday season is when the good games have been played through by many people and consumer reviews are out... so we know if those games lived up to the way the the editorials had rated them..

I just think that having series like Final Fantasy, Metal gear, Gran Turismo, Getaway, Sega's Yakuza, Way of the Samurai, Time Chrisis, Tekken, Socom or Genji as exclusives all coming out on 4q2007/1q2008 there's less than 0.001% chance that all will fail. They are all legendary series + some new titles seem interesting. I'm really looking forward for those games to release, cheaper ps3's with modchips and cheaper full hd tv's

Most of them also use newest graphic shaders and algorytms supported by PS3 so hopefully we'll finally see a bit of PS's power.

i love gta so much that i do think its a wise choice to buy a ps3 based on that. i simply fucking love those games. each and every one were tight except the second one, but i never got to play that one from the start, just random playing at a friend's house, so maybe i'd enjoy it more if i actually played the game. but all the others have rocked. i'm easy to please so it doesn't even matter if it sucks. it's just money.

already have a ps2. don't need a memory card when i got the console. what do you need usb ports for?

If somebody needs card reader, wifi, more usb ports (which is totally unimportant because that's what pc is for) then he could buy a 60gig version.

Also all versions are backward compatible - the thing is 20 ntsc and 60 gig versions are hardware compatible with ps1 and ps2 (have a chip responsible for that so they play all games) and 40gigs have software-based compatibility with ps1 only.

edit: sorry, 40 gig version also has wifi. It also has 2 usb ports like 20 gig version, 60 gig version has 4..

the problem is that 360's hd-dvd drive except being expensive is unable to play games :/ Microsoft fucked things up. it's only for movies..

yeah I mentioned this game before. Sony bought that as their exclusive so it won't come out on any other console.

how expensive is ps3 in Norway now?

I'm a bit annoyed that it's 399$ for a 40gig version in the States, I'd buy it instantly if it was so cheap here.

electronics are expensive here too and that pisses me off.
Also keep in mind that Poland is not an expensive country and somebody here doing something you do there would get like 5 times less

what good is it to own a 360 anywayz. some friends of my got it and i pretty much hate it. GT > any racer the 360 can produce. also im not into FPS, and the 360s library is what? like 50% fps. and the rest is just fucked up games anyway. also im not one of those EA fags, so no, i dot like any of their games. pro evo > fifa. how many games are actually worth owning on the 360? bioshock and gears of war. and guess what, i don't even like fps. only worthwhile title coming to the 360 is ninja gaiden 2 for that matter, also GOW2 could be pretty great too.

You know that's just because 360 was released at least more than 1 year before ps3 (which in fact still hasn't been released in some countries, in europe it was released on march-july this year depending on country).

PS3 has already more exclusives announced on fall 2007/early 2008 than 360 ever had and will have in the near future.

Halo has always been around but that's just one game, one title wont help the overall popularity of a console by a large margin, not everyone likes Halo

One title won't help? Wrong. It's these signature title games that made PS3 so popular in the first place. Such as Metal gear sold. These games matter when it comes to choosing a console.

how do you know those arent exclusively shit games that are confirmed for the ps3? most, if not all 360 exclusives ended up being quality games... it's a cliche now, but halo 3 did live up to the hype... forza 2 is quality.. gears of war.. bioshock isnt on ps3 and the pc version isnt as good from what i've played..

what's gonna get ps3 sales up isnt necessarily new titles... if there were a final fantasy game, a socom, a gran turismo, etc. announced by sony in the near future, then the tide might be turned.. but so far gt5 still is shady, and there's nothing out there that indicates that the ps3 is gonna be like the ps2 as far as games go... if the exclusives are gonna be completely new titles and series, how comfortable do you think consumers are going to be with putting down cash and gambling on whether or not they're good or not?

most legendary ps2 series are also announced on ps3 to come out real soon. Like you mentioned - new FF, new gran turismo, socom and few other series, most that made ps2 popular. Also there are few games that are either hit or miss but the fact is that PS3 has more confirmed good exclusives than 360 which had more time to shine.
