Technology PS3 more popular than xbox 360

really i think what people fail to realize is that different gamers have different tastes.. which should go without saying, but so many people forget.. i remember when the gaycube was laggingin sales, N fanboys were just rattling off game titles that just so happened to be first party games anyways, in an attempt to show how good their systems were.. .sure, metroid prime, mario sunshine, etc. gained good scores from every magazine and site.. but what i dont fuckin like that shit??
similarly, i stated earlier gears of war, halo 3, forza and several other rpgs that interested me and had me hooked onto the 360... but what if some hates shooters and rpgs and racers?? what if they're more platformer or puzzle games? can i still use those games as examples or reasons to buy a 360?? sure it has a larger quantity of quality games, but if those genres dont appeal to the consumer, why does it matter?? someone that enjoyed platformers and puzzles may enjoy the wii more.. the wii has lots of puzzles ,right?? an attempt to swoon them to a 360 will only make them hate it when they get it and hate it, or buy something else and realize the other was not what they wanted..

to me, the wii is something i would only bring out if i were with friends. i wouldn't play it alone, that would be rather boring i think. i tried some shooters and other types of games with it, but the controller is so hard to manage when you're, say, aiming around on the screen. how the fuck do i aim straight at some beast i want to kill when moving my hand a centimeter moves the scope on the screen and i have stress problems that cause me to literally shake a little most of the time?

I'm kinda stuck between 360 and ps3, I'll wait how the situation changes, if ps3 will really beat greatly xbox in sales and we'll see more games coming on ps3 (especially Japanese games - that's the main reason for me preffering sony. I own xbox1 now and all those American/European games are too boring and plain). So yeah that's mostly because of games and tech specs and because ps3 is newer - I won't have that though like buying a 3 year old console with worse specs. Price was similar 3 years ago so if I didn't buy it then, I don't want to buy it now when actually it's possibilities are not great any more and I think in 2-3 years they'll stop making games on it.
I was waiting for ps3 for such a long time.. damn.

^^ well i heard that GTA4 gets extras that the ps3 version wont.. go look it up on gamespot, im almost positive i read that a couple months ago

Final Fantasy XIII is part of three games being called Fabula Nova Crystallis (that's "The New Tale of The Crystal" to those of us not fluent in Latin), with two of the titles appearing on PS3 and one on mobile phones. The fantasy is far from over!
it will be released in japan some time after march 2008, so in a while. seems like it's gonna be exclusive to the ps3, meaning i have to think about what i said above about buying an xbox, this is brand new information to me. it seems there will be two games. final fantasy 13, and final fantasy 13 versus, as well as a stand-alone final fantasy 13 for handheld consoles.

here's some info on the new battle system. it's comparable to that of XII it sees, but with some new twists and more options. for example, as in previous games you'll have a party, and the way the party members involve themselves in fights is gonna somehow correspond to the roles they play as members of your party in the game. i don't know what it's all about but it sounds interesting.

Exactly. C&C are my favorite series of all time but with every new game they released it was worse than one before. Westwood studios made dope games, ea fucked them up.

ah damn.. so i guess the FF series, or atleast the main installments will be ps3 exclusive... that's fine.. do you still waste 500 for one series?? as much as i love FF, i have lived without playing 12 for quite some time... i think when the next gen consoles hit, whenever that may be, the ps3 will be cheap and i can catch up then..
as for modding, i modded my original xbox.. i got it just before the 360 was released, so i knew i wasnt gonna be missing online play that much... if i get a 360, im not gonna mod it.. its 50 bucks for live which isnt expensive either... and i dont go out on both days of the weekend, fri. or sat. so i can dedicate a night just to gaming... right now, one of my jew roommates just has 2 games for his 360... ncaa 08 and halo 2... no live.. so i dont play the 360 that much...

I've been learning Japanese because I'm planning to go to the Polish-Japanese school but I'm not good in it tho
I like Japanese games, I was raised on Japanese games on super nintendo, then psx and I simply love playing them. Also that Metal gear online looks good.

this is what i was talking about.. if it hasnt been released yet, how can you consider it a killer app? it might look good on paper but when it comes out it might not live up to the hype...doesnt mean its not a good game, but trying to predict that an exclusive game will actually be good and then basing your purchasing decision upon that... i dunno man.. it seems a little weak..

Man Sony bought classic series as their exclusives.. there's no way they will be weak. Also there are many great games that look like they'll be really dope. Main argument against was that Sony had less exclusives, this proves that in 1 quarter 2008 Sony will have more exclusives overall than 360 after more than 3 years.
Sorry for sounding so one-sided now, but to be honest I am not.
I'm still stuck between 360 and PS3 (more keen to PS tho) but I'm really impressed and have high hopes for Sony.
I had super nintendo, psx, gameboy color and now I have xbox so I'm not a fanboy
I even decided to buy xbox instead of ps2.oh i know you're no fanboy.. haha.. im just saying its hard to speculate on games that arent out yet and say that they will be great.. its one thing to have exclusives.. go back to a couple posts of mine with the whole gamecube fanboys that would just list off names of exclusives. but it doesnt mean that they'll be good or if they are good that i will like them.. but you're not promoting the ps3, so i guess its fine..
i would suggest to anyone to wait atleast til next spring to make a decision.. one, there will be a price cut foro ne if not both... then after the holiday season is when the good games have been played through by many people and consumer reviews are out... so we know if those games lived up to the way the the editorials had rated them..
