Why didnt you expect it?

Ireland led one nil, then Slovakia equalised. Kevin Doyle put Ireland ahead again with a cracker but Slovakia equalised in the last minute. I think we are out now because i cant see us beating Czech Republic on Wednesday. The game was pretty even tonight but Ireland sat back on their lead like they always do and kept giving the ball away cheaply. The only way to defend a lead is to keep the ball by passing it around and attack when you can. Ireland arent good enough defensively to defend a goal lead. We missed Finnan tonight. His replacement Steve Kelly(Birmingham) was poor. John O Shea was rubbish as usual, turning his back on the equalising shot and making mistakes throughout.I hate the fucker. Richard Dunne was man of the match. He is an excellent centre half. Some of the substitutions were strange and negative. He brings on Johnathan Douglas(Leeds) and Darren Gibson (young Man Utd player) but leaves Stephen Hunt(Reading) and Andy Reid (Charlton) on the bench.Ireland simply aren't good enough now though.

England had a good win although Croatia and Russia won as well. I doubt Northern Ireland will qualify after losing to Latvia, although Spain only drew.. Scotland have a good chance with Ukraine drawing with Georgia nad France and Italy drawing as well.

Wtf is up with teams like Spain and Portugal. Talent wise they have possibly the best teams. I know Portugal lack a striker but still they only drew with Armenia the other week.

^^Is Pauleta still playing for them?

Xabi Alonso was sent off for Spain.

Looks like Poland will qualify although they need to go on and do something at Euro 2008 unlike the last few tournaments they have been in, where they played shit and went out in the group stages.

Nah Pauleta retired. I think Nuno Gomes has also, but hes pretty much fallen off. They have Liedson/Hugo Almeida/Postiga. No-one really great.

I want all the big teams to qualify coz most smaller nations who go through won't do shit.

Were England good tonight.? Owen scored. Did Micah Richards play well? Man City have two outstanding centre halves in Richard Dunne and Micah Richards.

Frank the plank Lampard didnt play did he?

Alot of people said England played great, great is pretty much overused, it was a decent performance by England, Heskey played well, SWP was good aswel, it wasnt exciting or anything and I wasn't overly impressed.

I saw the first 45 minutes and it was far away from being great. Israel was weak. It was an ok performance.

Looks like we have to beat the Czechs on Wednesday and then get a result against Germany in Dublin if we are to have any chance of making the play-offs.That late goal fucked us up again but Ireland aren't a good enough team now.very limited.

Did i ever mention that i hate John O Shea?

Yea it finished 1-0.

The referee should be shot. He sent off Hunt for nothing. The home crowd were booing Hunt all night and i suppose he wanted to please the fuckers. They were booing him over that Cech incident last season.

Ireland arent good enough now anyway.Saying that though, we have a young team.Robbie Keane is a major let down. Yea, he is our all time top scorer, but how many of his goals came against good opposition.?He was poor again tonight. Hunt was good until he was sent off for nothing. Dunne was good again.

Czech aren't a good side anymore. They are dirty fuckers as well. I would have no fears about them anyway apart from their dirt.

My money is on Germany to win the competition outright.

Scotland are quite the team. If Italy loses to Scotland next month, chances are they won't be making the Euros.

England also getting a huge win, but is it too late that's the question. They play Russia at home (a team that has never lost a major event qualifier at home before) then the English will be meeting us, for their final match, they'll be meeting Croatia. So, who knows what could happen just yet.

Amazing for Scotland. Congratz to them.

Portugal drew again, another last minute goal denies them. I still cant believe how they dont win, the boss the matches but still dont win.

Spain won 2-0, N.Ireland have a tough job on their hands right now.

RVN scored in the last minute as Holland beat Albania 1-0 lol wtf
