Seriously the Liverpool players and Benitez Need to Take a good look at themselves we spent around 50 million this year and we havent improved much...everybody keeps going on about this rotation crap but if you got players like crouch or voronin comming off the bench im sure you have nothing to complain about....same with benayoun and babel etc...we have spent all this money on youth players will they ever get a chance...we should be 2-0 in our group stage games but NOOOOOO!!

I seriously believe that when Pako left shit went downhill and i really dont know why alonso and Sissoko played should have been Gerrard and Mascherano starting, that way gerrard could have gone forward more often instead of having to run around trying to fix up peoples mistakes!!!

Maybe i should be Manager since im a tactical genius at Football Manager at least i have won the league with Liverpool!!!!

Didn't see the liverpool game except from the marseille goal which was quality. Did Benitez rotate his squad again? He needs to stop doing that if he's serious about contending for any title this season.

Liverpool's rotation policy is a poor excuse..Marseille pretty much had to do the same thing, and they were missing their star player Nasri aswel.

^^Yea i agree. The team selected last night was pretty strong apart from Leto who hasnt impressed me at all. Marseille won the game fair and square and should have won by more.

But Benitez's rotation policy does have an effect on the team. He doesnt give the players a chance to gel together and some players are getting disgruntled when they are left off after playing well in the game previous.

Benitez has stated before, that he selects his team to suit the opposition. Thats a shit way of approaching a game. His best eleven should start all the time and a player should only be rested if he is injured, suspended or absolutely fucked. Maybe he doesnt know his best eleven, i dunno. Im tired of it.

Empoli went out as well, so this kind of proves the point the serie a is poor outside the top 3 or 4 sides. I say this as a big Sampdoria fan. Losing to Danish opposition is not good enough although, according to reports, they should have won.

One thing. Empoli (I think it was them last season) Palermo all played weaker sides in the UEFA cup last season, ones of the teams played most of their youth team. There is little money in the Uefa cup hence the teams they put out.

Saying that I'm not entirely sure what teams were put out today for the Italian sides.
