It's no doubt that the PS3's power is good. The only problem is that there's like 2-3 good games on it. I used to have one....then i sold it...and now i have to buy another one before they run outta 60 gig ones and i dont want one of those shitty 80 gig piece of shits that they are releasing.

thing is you need an hd tv to see the difference. its not everybody who has one. plus as dp said theres not many good games on the ps3 right now. nobody is questioning the power of the ps3, we are only questioning the quality of the games and how the games do not use fully the potential of the ps3.

There is no need for the systems if you don't have a HDTV. I have a 360 now and love it. I will get a PS3 in the future tho cause HOME looks pretty damn cool.

ps3 is clearly better and more of a future investment (because of it's power) but yeah 360 has better games. But it's like it was with xbox and ps2. Playstation was weaker but had better/more games. Now ps2 is too weak to handle newest titles while they still work great on xbox. So ps3 like I said is a great future investment. There is a little rist that it will be cancelled as they fired the guy who invented all Playstations. Actually they don't gain much as they sell ps3s below it's construction price. They gain a bit with games tho. But to fully enjoy console's quality you have to buy at least a 32 inch tv with full hd which is more expensive than console alone. I own a 15 inch tv and it's even too small for xbox so first I have to wait till lcd tvs will reach reasonable prices.

ps. 360 sells better because of modchips ;) I think there's still no way to easily play copied games on PS3

well that's simply just not true. it's like saying you don't need a car because you don't have a garage. you don't buy the new systems so you can have more pixels across the screen, you buy them so that all in all you get better-looking, more advanced games than you can get for older systems. it's still a WAY more enjoyable experience than playing on the xbox or ps2. i speak from experience. i'd go so far as to say that hdtv is only a bonus that takes it from great to sick.

so kindly stfu because i am not spending that money on an hdtv right now :)

my 360 still looks way better than the older systems on my tube sdtv. ive played it on my 42' lcd hdtv in the living room before. it looks good. but sdtv is good enough for me.

Why do i say wat? Why is the 80 gig a piece of shit? Well it's not really a piece of shit but they removed the ps2 chip that allowed the ps3 to be backwards compatible with ps1 and ps2 games. Now the ps3 runs the original games using emulation and so far it can only play about 70% of all games compared to the 20gb and 60gb versions which can play 99% of all original games. It's no big deal since they are constantly updating the firmware but i just dont wanna buy a system which they say is "new and improved" when really it's been giped of one of it's main features and thrown in a new box with a game.

if its constantly being updated it shouldnt be that big of a difference then. im pretty sure most of the games that cant be played are probably the less popular games anyway

Get with the times you fucking n00b. HDTVs have been out for YEARS. The price has dropped a ton so you're full of shit.
