well the thing is that Benoit was on numerous pills/drugs as wall as pain killers, plus he apparently had stopped using steroids, which is known to cause depression, even just at the end of a steroid cycle it can cause depression. add that to the daily pressures of the wrestling business, and you have a pretty explosive mix.

all that said tho, that doesn't take the blame from him. no one made him take all those drugs or steroids, and there is no excuse for what he did. none.

most of those guys in that industry use steroids, i guarantee it.... didnt the go thru this b4 when the hulkster had to testify about vince pushing them to use steroids or something like that,...... back in the early to mid 90's

yeah they did, and after that Vince did make an actual effort to curb the rampant steroid use, but it was so pervasive in the industry that rather than continue to fight it they just gave in. they claim to have a new steroid testing policy in place, but if that were really true guys like Benoit and Mysterio would have been found out long before now.

no thanks, because i know, as would anyone who has actually done a little reading on the subject, that steroids cannot be proven to cause increased aggression and that "roid rage" hasn't even been proven to exist. it's just another media buzzword. however i do know that mixing medications (anti-depressants, painkillers, blood pressure elevators, etc.) with steroids and the known effects of them, plus a whole boatload of stress, can be a deadly mix. add that to the fact that 3 of Chris' closest friends died within a span of 2 years, and the guy was bound to explode eventually. it's just too bad he had to take 2 innocent lives with him when he went.

but i once again feel that i should state this: in no way is his drug usage or depression an excuse for what he did. saying it wasn't his fault, it was the pills, the roids or whatever is akin to saying a drunk who kills someone while driving isn't responsible for his actions because he was intoxicated. if there is a Hell, i'm sure he's there as we speak, where he belongs.

Dev I have done my research, I wish you would have read in-between the lines, when i made my comment i was making light of the media and how they assume that roids cuase agressive behavior since it has never been proven. But anyhow thank you for you comments.

i know why cant they just blame the individual..... this is terrible to say, but maybe he just wanted to die and take his family with him..... nobody knows what was goin thru dudes mind... and yes im sure he is in Hell without his family
