MJ fucked up....its not a good trade. J.Rich is coming off knee surgery and 4years/48mil is what he is owed. Why get J.Rich when you had tha chance 2 keep Gerlead Wallece and gain another young player in Wright? Either way, MJ lost...they drafted tha wrong player 4 their team and then traded him 4 someone of lesser stock in tha long haul.

Boston acquires Ray Allen and draft rights to Glen Davis from Seattle in exchange for Wally Szczerbiak, Delonte West and draft rights to Jeff Green.

New York acquires Zach Randolph, Fred Jones, Dan Dickau and the draft rights to Demetris Nichols from Portland in exchange for Steve Francis, Channing Frye and a 2008 second-round draft pick.

holy shit!!!!

I love Ray Allen and I love the Celtics!!! I just wonder what's going to happen with Pierce...

And I think that this is the first time that the Knicks did somewhat a good move. It's just that Randolph has absolutely no discipline.

Golden state got screwed in that trade the Bobcats made out.

seattle has once again proven there a bunch of idiots, but whats new they don't have any intentions of staying in seattle and this ray allen trade was clearly done to free up cap space in an effort to resign Lewis and show the fans of seattle that hey "we dont care that you love ray because we dont give two shits about you becuase we are out of here come next season".

Danny ainge is an idiot to even trade for a player coming off two ankle surgerys. Plus he is 34 years old and can't play a lick of D. Boston needs some defensive minded players not old worn out veterans. Im thinking he May use ray allen for trade bait come next season, guy can score no doubt and would be a good sixth man for a contender.

Pierce is staying put. he wanted management to get a veteran if Boston wouldntve been able to deal, then Paul would have demanded a trade.

i think Portland got the better end of that deal. im not big on Francis, but they picked up Frye. Portland is gonna be a hell of team in the next few years. when Oden finally develops. the Blazers will be the next Phoenix and Dallas.

ya hear Stephen A Smith go nuts. he thought Charlotte shouldnt have traded Wright.

lewis is getting traded after they resign him. It's still not sure whether the sonics will move.

There's no way the Sonics can get KG, and although I think Lewis sucks as a player, I'm hoping we can get somebody solid.

I'm so excited about Durant, though!!!!

The Jason Richardson trade really bothers me. In my opinion, the Bobcats got the better end of that deal. Although, I've heard rumors since last night about KG possibly going to Golden State...

GS doesnt have the man power to pull this off once again Boston would have to come into play and probably another team as well to make this deal happen.

Since when is picking up J Rich a bad move? Baron Davis had help you know.
Well you have to look at it from the money angle, as well as he has had a recent history of injury trouble, not to mention there is no promise JRich will be as affective with the Bobcats although he will be lighting the East up (like Arenas and Jamison) on a nightly basis. You just dont trade away youth, let alone a top pick, for someone on the down slope of his carrer....I don't care if dude got talent, save that money for a more major move then that.

The Ray Allen trade makes sense to me, another youth move by the Sonics. If Green ends up becoming the Pipen to Durants Jordan (not saying that they good as them, just an analogy) we going see the reasoning to the Sonics madness. Allen will generate wins, but its not going be enough for the Celtics to get back to where they were just 7 or so years ago (challeging for that East throne).

Stephen A. Smith makes me laugh...all you need is some wit, knowledge and a big mouth and you can be on TV hahahaa who needs college really?

Trade to Bobcats upsets Richardson

basicaly, his side is that he & his people felt winding down that he was at the top of the list to be on the block ccause of new depth and situations but that he had went to Mullin & shit time to time he assures him that he wouldnt be dealt

In the end he only found out he was planned to be traded when his agent told him from talkin with a reporter that he was goin to Charlotte

But He's looking forward to the new situation

He's already working out full bore, even while on vacation, eager to answer the expectations and his critics. At first, Richardson didn't like the idea of going to Charlotte. But as he thought about his new team, he couldn't help but get a little eager about a new start. Then he got another call from Jordan. This time he answered.

"I didn't know M.J. wanted me like that," Richardson. "There's no better feeling to me than winning and he's the same way. A lot of people can't take that (pressure) from him, that's why I think other players have had problems. It's going to be a challenge for me. I know I'm not close to his level, but how many people would turn down the opportunity to learn from the best that ever played?"

Richardson said he'd prefer not to go through the young-team-learning-how-to-win experience again. But, seeing clearly now, the situation with the Bobcats looked promising.

He thought about his new teammates -- most notably point guard Raymond Felton, forward Gerald Wallace (who is a free agent) and post Emeka Okafor. He thought about playing in the wide-open Eastern Conference, and how Charlotte finished just five games out of the playoffs. He remembered that former Warriors general manager Rod Higgins was the Bobcats new GM, which means he'd have someone to help him transition. Suddenly, Charlotte wasn't so bad.

Richardson said he will fly to North Carolina today. Oddly enough, he was scheduled to leave the Bahamas for Denver, his fiancee's hometown, and the layover just happened to be in Charlotte. So he's going to layover a little longer and take his physical.
"It's going to be funny being the old head of the team," he said through a laugh. "I actually had a chance to sit down and really look at what's on this team. ... All this team needs is some leadership and experience. I hope I can bring both."
