The four way deal has fallen apart because of Boston and Jermaine O neal does not want to play there.

The Lakers have not given up hope though and are trying to work a deal now directly between them and the T-Wolves.

now the deal may not happen. dont know if ya'll been following up on it. Minnesota feels Lamar and Andrew Bynum aint enough in the deal.

KG has been rumored to go to Phoenix. but its all up to Shawn Marion wanting to go to Boston. if KG goes to Phoenix. the Lakers may work a deal which would send Jermaine O' Neal to LA.

I think O'Neal would be great in LA. Can score and all that but most importantly he is a defensive presence, dude is one of the top shot blockers in the league, I think he'd work well. He can move and I think he'd get some good looks in that offense, either pick up is good news for them.

The main reason the deal with minnesota has gone dry is because minnesota wants a higher draft pick and L.A can not produce that having the 19th pick overall...atleast i think its the 19th i did not confirm this so if someone could that would be great. (confirm the draft pick, not the reason behind the deal falling through I know that is correct).

Minnesota would like something in the top ten, So now phoenix has come into play for KG since they have the fourth or fifth pick, But it appears this will not work out either becuase once again Boston is involved and marion would go to Boston and he does not want to play there either. Minnesota would get Stoudamire and the suns first round draft pick.

I agree. And about the lakers....well, KG would help no doubt but without a good point guard n supportin cast I don't see the lakers compete with the top 3. And after they got KG I don't think there'd be too much left you could trade for another top player - xcept they could sign Billups. Mr Big shot, Kobe and KG would be fun.

Lakers have offered a 5 year 30 million dollar deal to a Euro star PG.

The Lakers have offered a multi-year contract to 30-year-old guard Theodoros Papaloukas, according to Eleftheros Tipos, a newspaper in Greece. The report said Papaloukas had confirmed the offer and was pondering it among a handful from NBA teams. Lakers officials declined to comment. Papaloukas, a Greek native who is listed at 6 feet 7, was the Euroleague player of the year last season with CSKA Moscow, and is widely thought to be the best point guard in Europe. He signed a three-year deal with CSKA Moscow in June 2006, a contract that could require a substantial buy-out price. The Lakers probably would have to use most or all of their mid-level exception — five years and about $30 million — to sign him.

I hope not. MY GOD... Damm Vlade Divac and Phil Jackson with their love interests in Euro players. i dont blame Kobe one bit if he wants to leave. if this guy turns out to be a Dirk Nowitzki I'll eat a bucket of worms and broadcast it live for all you guys to see. :thumb:
