This fight could quite easily be the fight of the year! Two warriors going into the trenches. I just hope Castillo makes the weight. My prediction is Hatton wins on points.

I think this fight could be an easier fight for Hatton than people think.

Relax they both passed the weigh in. Its on.:)

Ricky looks gaunt but thats when he's at his best, he was exactly the same against Tyzu. Fighting a guy like Castillo will bring out the best in Ricky.

I suspect hatton will win this in impressive fashion. I believe Hatton will get to Castillo in the later rounds and force a stoppage, maybe the 8th round. Hatton should adopt his in and out approach he has used so well in previous fights namely Tackie and Olivera and wear Castillo down. Not to take anything away from Castillo as he's my kind of fighter but he has a lot against him here, Hatton's footwork , angles , and speed are superior to his. Castillo fits the 140's nicely and looks in no way blown up but i doubt his power at 140 and add to that Hattons chin and he has problems. The only way he can get to Ricky badly is via the body imo and he will look for that all night.

But in general i am anticipating a great fight.
Hatton TKO 8/9

What's the deal with that Setanta sports? I have Sky TV but not them Setanta sport channels. Can I just pay for the fight in a one off thing because I don't want to suscribe to anything.

Castillo is going to win. I think Hatton is overhyped.

Overhyped?:D

That body shot was so sweet. Now its time for the real big guns.

2pax you can still buy the fight ppv.

I thought the coverage on sentanta was a joke! After the fight i want to see whats happening in the ring, not what the pundits have to say, that can wait.

Haha, 2 poor recent performances from Hatton is the reason for a lot of hate regarding him being overhyped etc and it just was not justified. Hatton is the real deal and proved it with that shot, its nice to see his body shots again as its been a while since he finished someone with one.

stefanwzyga, i agree after the fight there was too much studio time, gonna download the hbo broadcast to get the american perspective.

Its crazy to think of some of the super fights that ricky is probally going to have in the next couple of years. Moseley/ cotto/ de la hoya/ and Mayweather are all on rickys radar! Although i see him having problems with all these fighters, gonna be great fun seeing how in pans out though. Hatton really is boxings Mr excitment.:)

It must have been an amazing experience for wayne rooney carrying one of rickys belts into the ring. I know he's a big time footballer playing in front of 70.000 everyother week, but it must have felt a bit special.

^ Yeh must have been great for him. He was sitting with Hatton at the post presser too and answered a couple of questions lol.

Setanta never showed the full hatton intro either by what i rememeber, the HBO broadcast had air raid sirens and Winston Churchill's 'we will fight them on the beaches....' speech then blue moon kicked in.

I think out of them opponants you just mentioned the biggest handfull would be moseley and by the sounds of he is the rumour early on of the next opponant. De La Hoya is too much imo, he's too big although it would be one hell of a spectacle.

Got a funny feeling it will be Malignaggi tho.

I watched the full thing yesterday and I'd have to say the way Setanta covered the fight was pretty crap, i'm glad I didn't pay for it now.

Where did you see that?

Yep i agree that moseley and de la hoya = big problems for hatton. I think he should go all out for mayweather! Sure this also is a big ask, but to take the no 1 pound for pound king down would be the ultimate glory. The rest of the guys can wait in turn, maybe by that time Ricky will be more ajusted to the welter weight division.

2pax your right, it was a joke.
