Deliberately trying to replicate Maradona's goals against England in 86.Look at what he has done against Espanyol tonight. The game finished 2-2 with Espanyol scoring a last minute equaliser.Real Madrid scored late to draw 2-2 against Zaragoza, while Sevilla only drew 0-0.Real Madrid are looking good for the title now.

You gotta love Messi.Thats second goal he has scored that was similar to Maradona's.The first one (the one he started dribbling from the mid field) was no way an attempt to replicate Maradona's goal. But one might argue this header was indeed done on purpose to replicate Maradona's ''hand of god'' goal. But i don't know where the problem is or if there is any.I don't mind this,at least you could say hes ''tributing'' his country mate.

Who said there was a problem with it?

I just said that it seems as if he is trying to replicate him. Both goals are very similar.Messi is going to be great.

That happened at half time.Maybe he wasn't trying to show him respect.Maybe he had been fouling Tevez in the first half, and Tevez didnt want to talk to him.I didnt see the match but that was at half time.

A handball to score in a proffesional soccer game where there is too much at stake? I think there is a big BIG problem with that. Hey, thats just my opinion.

Maybe, but alot of people are getting on his back about it, over here especially. Aguero did it for Athletico Madrid earlier in the season also, his was worse, he actually punched the ball into the net.

Remember Raul did it against Leeds in the Champions League a few years ago.I think he was fined over it.

Leeds?Champions League?Few Years ago?

Its sad how they have fallen.

People are saying that Real Madrid are lucky but Barcelona had a lot of luck in this situation.

Id love if Barca and Real lost their last game and Sevilla win.Its unlikely though.

Barca play Gimnastic away,so they should win that and Real are at home to Mallorca. You would expect Real to win but Mallorca are a bogey team for them.Cant remember who Sevilla are playing.

Mallorca once beat Madrid 5-1 at the Bernebeu..hopefully it happens again. Barca are one of my favourite teams so I hope they win the league, but in all honesty, Sevilla deserve it, trying to win the treble and they've still kept up with the leaders. No Kanoute or Kerzakov vs Mallorca cost them.

I don't agree with what he's done but perhaps it was just a moment of madness. People are only making a big thing of it because he's a world class player, that seems to amplify the situation.

Most of the Spanish press, including Marca, are blaming the referee more than Messi.

You should all download this week's Guardian Unlimited Football Weekly podcast. They talk about Spanish attitudes towards cheating quite a bit.

^^ link??

Don't go all slutty and talk about some cool sounding podcast and not give us a link to it.
If you have iTunes, just search for it. Otherwise you can get it from here. You're a bit late to the party, since it's the last podcast of the season. I'll remind you to subscribe to it next season.
