How does everyone feel about that?

Good move? Bad move?

I watched him play against Deportivo de la Coruna this weekend.
He had a good game. Almost 2 goals on the freekick.

In fairness,he has been in great form since he got back into the Real Madrid team.Capello is always prasing him now.

I dunno if bringing him back into the England setup will do them any good. They need to move on with younger players like Arron Lennon.

They should take him to the England squad so he can learn younger wingers how to play internationaly...

Hate him or love him, he has tons of experience and was great for a long while for England... he always gave his best to the point of puking on the field.

I always thought Becks was a bit of a scapegoat, and didn't deserve to be unceremoniously removed from the team.

what are caps?

pz
Every time you make a competitive appearance for your national team you get a "cap". Getting 100 caps (100 competitive appearances for the English national team in Beckham's case) is a bit of a milestone.

Well he was shit in 2006.Not great in Euro 2004(remember that penalty). He was decent in 2002 but then jumped out of a tackle in the build up to Rivaldo's goal.In 1998, he got sent off.I cant remember euro 2000 but he was hardly player of the tournament. So it has been a pretty poor international career apart from that free kick against Greece dont you think?

Thanks. So how many caps does he have with the English squad?

94, which makes him the fifth most capped player in the history of the national team.

Peter Shilton (1970-1990) - 125
Bobby Moore (1962-1973) - 108
Bobby Charlton (1958-1970) - 106
Billy Wright (1946-1959) - 105
David Beckham (1996-?) - 94
