Ok attached is the play in question on you tube of Bruce Bowen kicking Amare in the achillies on purpose or so Amare says.

Lets put it to a vote was it intentional or not?

If anything Bowen has been ever known for is playing dirty and playing defense. So hearing this, your immediate reaction is yes he did do it on purpose.Plus its evident in the video.

Guy is a solid defender, thats all fine, but when he does this things like this he pisses people off.

The slow-motion editing prevents you from seeing clearly. It's biased. Here is what happened:

1. Stoudamire jumped up to dunk and appeared to fall back.
2. Bowen was right beneath him and due to a reflex, he put his foot up to shield himself from Amare's body.

Ya reflex that he has done on more than one occasion...jamal crawford for one...oh the names we could name...how his magical foot just happens to always be landing under peoples feet as there coming down from a shot...

and number two is classic....he put his foot up to shield himself from amare's body........LOL

Lets think about this, I dont know about u but when someones body is heading in my direction i dont not put my "foot up" to "shield" myself i use my arms like normal people.

Bottom line is your trying to defend something thats beyond obviouse and its not the first time he has done this...ray allen for one, he must have been "shielding' himself from ray allens back when he kicked him in his back.

you're wrong on this one Sofi...

The thing that made me think that he actualy kicked him is the motion of the foot. It's like when soccer players kick a ball...he did the same thing

I'm quite familiar with Bowen's history of dirty play. I'm just not taking it into consideration when I look at this video.

I do. What now?

He kicked Amare on his way up on the dunk..not after he landed u nub.

However, his upper part of the body was leaning back as if he is to fall on Bowen since Bowen was so close under him.

I may be wrong on this one but I don't think the video clearly shows dirty play for the reasons I stated but if you're OK with just Bowen's history to make that decision, go ahead. I will not lose sleep.

Ehh it was a good little body check, but Nash kind of flopped from it, then after he falls and stops he throws his hands above his head and goes to the gorund, he made it look worse then it really was. It was a hard foul but Nash acted like he tackled him.

You gotta be kidding me.Take a good look.He did tackle him.It was no little body check.Nash was coming almost fool speed and Horry jumped right in and threw his body at him, intentionally. You can see Horry swung his arm.
