I must say this about A-Rod...

while it still is early in the season and i've NEVER EVER had a problem with the guy, i'm glad his season has taken off the way that it has...... today, to just hit that walk off homer and win it for the yanks you knew yanks fans weren't hating him for at least one more day.......

just had to say that... i think he'll cool down a bit, but this fast start should get him close to 50 HRs, if not more, and around 140 ribbies.... yanks fans, even fairweather ones like me, can't be complaining.... :thumb:

Hes probably gonna have a monster season.50 plus hr's.

But he knows just like everybody, hes stats at regular season wouldn't count as much as his performance at playoffs. So unfortunately, hes season will be a failure one if he can't perform in postseason.

I doubt he'll choke again, he's already come through clutch many times... 2 walk off home runs already in April, both at Yankees stadium? twice as many rbi's as the 2nd in the AL... damn! I agree with t-dog, i'm happy to see him succeed, considering i used to make fun of him all the time.

well, the thing is, i never hated on the guy... i mean, i knew he never really came up big when the yanks needed him most, mainly the playoffs, and it's possible it's just a really hot start this guy got off to, but still it's good that yanks fans are smiling and for once a-rod is too...

Being clutch at regular season and at playoffs is different is all i'm gonna say.

The way he started is the way Pujols started last year and the way Pujols was going everyone thought he was gonna break Bonds hr record. But he got hurt.As much as i dislike A-Rod, i don't want that to happen to me too.

Haha, he may be next on the New York Fans hate agenda.

I could never have imagined fans booing Jeter.

I think he wouldn't let himself go down to that low point to give fans a reason to boo him.He is close, hes making errors but he'll turn around imo.

There New York fans they boo everyone. If Jeter doesn't get it going soon they will boo him too. Its the greatest city to play for when your doing great but its the worst if your doing sub-par, and its almost scary if your terriable..but the Knicks know all about that.

ok, but ryan howard almost broke bonds' record... what's your point? you dont want a-rod to do it? at the rate a-rod's going, and im referring to his career and not just this season, he''ll prolly overtake bonds' on the all-time list.... because i'm almost positive bonds will break aaron's record, so a-rod will be #1 soon enough.... and i dont hate barry either, but atleast with a-rod there will be no uncertainty as to whether he used steroids or not....

What Bond's record did Howard almost broke you miserable? What record?Bonds hit 73, Howard hit 58, you call that almost breaking record?Being short to five or so hr's is almost breaking, but not being short by fifteen hr's.
Anyway, my point is the way A-Rod is hitting hr's now is the way Pujols was hitting last year in april and everyone thought he would have most likely break bonds hr record. But unfortunately he got hurt and wasn't able to do that.Same thing is happening with A-Rod this year,he is hitting hr's like Pujols was hitting last year and at this phase if A-Rod continues and stays healthy he will most likely break bonds record.1 plus 1 equals 2.What don't you understand.

It's easy to say that, but every home game at Yankees Stadium is a playoff game, they have the highest payroll in the league, fans expect them to dominate every game... so the atmosphere at Yankees stadium is the same through regular season and playoffs...

and your Pujols comparison has shit to do with anything, people aren't talkin about A-rod breakin Bonds record, they're talkin about how clutch he is, and how many runs he's batted in with runners in scoring position

He is doing what Pujols was doing at this time last year.He is most likely to break Pujols april hr record.Maybe people aren't talking on Bonds hr record yeat because its too early to tell but they sure are saying he has hit more hr's in first 15 or so games than anybody else.

I don't care what you say, playoffs is playoffs and regular season is regular season, big difference. A-Rod might be clutch hitting now but i won't rest until he does that in playoffs not in regular season.

ah, my bad, i was reading your post, which looks like a borat monologue cuz the english is so bad, i seemed to have jumbled my words up a bit... let me explain

with there being an asterisk (bach, you probably dont know what that it is... it's this "*") by every statistic of barry bonds', i consider the last "real" HR record to be roger maris's of 61.... that's the one that howard was about to break with 58.......

see here in america we have this thing called espn.... so on espn last season, they too considered 61 to be the "real" HR record instead of the 73, 71, and 66 belonging to bonds, big mac and sosa.... so that's what i was trying to say in my last post.... had howard broken that 61, i think that bonds HR race would have been less played out than it has been this year.... at least that way someone had recently broken a 40+ year record and done so without any doubt.... but see, i guess only us yankees would know that... whereas where you're from, kicking elephant turd balls down the street is your idea of an intense game of soccer.... it's ok.... i'll accept your stupidity... and your horrible english.... since it is those two things, and those two things only that truly make me "miserable"
