lol AD staying in NOLA. And the team can out his ass back in the game now because he can’t be traded now, right? This so far season, he’s an FA?

Jabari and Portis gone, too. That was unexpected but the city seems excited for Porter.

Why do a lot of basketball players wear those sleeve things covering their elbows
It started as a protection for a bruised elbow, then caught on as a fashion statement. Players also believe that by keeping their shooting arm warm, the muscles won't tighten up. That's why when they rest during a game, they often put on sweats or a few shirts, to keep their muscles warm and less prone to injury.

Or tendonitis that might affect their shot. I've actually been wearing a sleeve in recent weeks because of mine. Not sports related though lol. But compression helps a ton and I'm not in pain anymore while performing simple tasks.

That shit really works.

Who saw the Raptors winning this shit before the playoffs began?

I'm happy for Kawhi, two rings, two MVPs, two teams, two conferences. I just wonder what deal GS made with Satan to get that run that they just had which finally game to an end. They lost Klay and KD to injury. Likely lose one, or both of them, in FA or a year from now. What happens to them now? Green is a FA next off season, right?

Well done to the Raptors.

We'll never know how they'd match up to a healthy GSW squad in the finals unfortunately.

I believe Green will stay on next season.

It wasn't certain what was going to happen to Klay. But if the Warriors low balled him, he would have moved to the Lakers (biased opinion).

KD's plan was to win another chip and leave the team. Then shit happened. Now the Warriors will probably offer him a contract to show how 'sorry' they are. However, that achilles injury is a bitch, not sure how high KD's stock is after this.

i didn't see the raptors winning but i am not surprised. it was the perfect storm. celtics had major team chemistry issues. ben simmons was exposed. bucks are still babies. warriors had injury issues. as a spurs fan not surprised at all with what kawhi did.

i can see kd opting in for that one season and sit out and get paid. klay def resigning. green needs to expand his offensive game.

pelicans got a pretty good haul for ad.

Yeah, they did. I was watching Lavar on First Take the other day and the guy is so delusional about NOLA and the NBA; he thinks the Lakers did exactly what he wanted them to do lmao. As long as Lonzo stays the fuck away from his dad, I think he'll be just fine.

Side note, but has BBB folded yet? Or have they at least started showing up at Marshalls and TJ Maxxs nationwide? I think they wanted like $50 or $70 for a pair of BBB slides. Shirts were obnoxiously expensive too. I can't imagine that company making any money. Maybe people in LA bought it at first when Lonzo got drafted to show support?

And I followed the NBA more this year than I ever have before. At least since the Rose era in Chicago. This league is the most drama filled league ever, but I gotta say it's entertaining to watch the off-court antics. Kyrie's BS. The Paul-Harden "feud". It also baffles me that the NBA is the only league I see where analysts predict where players are going years in advance. Like ownership/teams know a player wants to play elsewhere and while that player is still playing and has another year or two on contract, teams brazen start "clearing cap space" to let certain players go to make room for a big contract for a superstar. Like LeBron to LA. I was hearing rumors of it back in 2016; he made the move two years later, but that's all the media was about.

When KD was with OKC and still had another season or two left with them (2014? 15?) there were rumors of him going to Washington when his contract was up, to be closer to home. Listening to hot takes now about the NBA, it seems teams were making moves the last season or two by signing players to big money but short term contracts just to skate by for a season just to clear room for a superstar now. Like the Knicks with KD (supposedly). Or teams interested in Kyrie. Toronto hadn't even won yet and people were speculating about Kawhi making the most sense going to the Clippers and making them instant-contenders. Possibly "favorites."

What other sport does this? Baseball had like one or two in recent memory, in Harper and Machado. I was hearing about them making moves in Spring of 2017. That's it, though. NFL? Never. Teams sends you somewhere and you go. In the NBA, it seems a lot more "loose" and "free" for players to move around, but that's not an issue for me at all. It's just how far in advance the rumors start and prospective teams start getting mentioned. Fans, players, owners, and analysts alike all seem to be looking at the same piece of paper that has an athletes 1,2, 5 year plan and all parties reading it just accept it. Like it's scripted and players just need to "check things off" a checklist and move on.

Lol, yea, Lavar is such a troll. I read he just got banned from espn for making an inappropriate comment to Molly.

BBB is super overpriced and the quality is poor. I think they have a F rating from better business bureau. They've had a couple of pop stores. They recently had a major issue with one of their business partners. He stole 3 mil! I think there was a little rift between the brothers and Lavar.

Really? This is the least I've ever watched of the NBA. But you're right the drama this season was entertaining. It's people in the players circle that leak information to Stephen A. Smith, WOJ and so on. Also, players agents to do it too.

I've been checking hoopshype.com since high school, rumors were even popping back then.

At least Knicks fans had high hopes to be dashed.

Bulls did fuck all so far and people are just like "yup, nothing to see here. Business as usual."

Crazy how Nets fans get a gradual ascent to whatever success they're going to have. Jordan and Kyrie for a year. KD coming in nine months to a year later.

Nets gonna run New York for the next four or five years, right?

Imagine the Knicks somehow get RJ to lead them to the same spot in the playoffs as KD and Kyrie. It'll be one hell of a story.

You guys think the memes about Knicks fans is kinda exaggerated? Sure, it's a poorly run organization and the whiffed on potentially getting KD and others but I feel like the memes on rNBA and then SAS having his meltdown videos the past few days is a bit too much and just for theatrics.

It's not like they didn't have a top five pick this year that could turn them around. A lot is riding on Zion's shoulders and he could pull an Oden. RJ might end up being the KD.

The NBA is the only league where I can root for other teams to get, or not get, players and still be fine with my shit, podunk team.

Couldn't do it for the NFL or MLB or college football. But the NBA has so many fans that are basketball fans before their team's fans, it feels like the whole league is happy or mad about a player signing. There is no in between, as far as the player goes. The team's success is a whole different story.
