Isn't it the Super Amoled Plus?

Also even if it is the 1st Gen SAMOLED - Sofi, you have a pentile panel in your Nexus S of a much lower resolution, Galaxy S has a pentile panel, most other Amoled screens do too. Does it make a difference to you? Even with a pentile panel it'll have like 30% higher subpixel density than Galaxy S or Nexus S. And it comes with all pros that AMOLED technology has over LCD too. And spectacular size.. perhaps a bit too spectacular.

The point is this:

1. Android fanboys like to point out higher specs in everything to conclude that iPhone sucks even though casual users, including me, probably can't tell the difference.
2. But once it's pointed out that in terms of SPECS, iPhone is superior, then the android fanboys (you, just now) point out "Well hey, does it make a difference to you?"

Let's not be hypocrites.

That's not the point. I'm giving credit where it's due, and I wouldn't really point out superiority where something is better on paper but in reality doesn't make a difference - like more cores on CPU or higher frequency right now where it's not needed. That's also the point with higher pixel density. The fact that Apple went for ridiculously high screen resolution for such a small display is a fact. Other manufacturers aren't stupid - it's not a problem to release a screen with higher pixel density - it's just that there's no rational explanation for doing so.
That's why they are using screens with adequate resolution that is able to produce sharp image.
You can't say that the Iphone has a better screen. I'm all for RGB matrix instead of a Pentile Matrix but it doesn't really make much of a difference and in terms of SPECS Galaxy Nexus' screen is by far superior to any LCD there is simply because it's an AMOLED screen (unlimited contrast, unlimited viewing angles, uses less power, is basically free of any limitations of an LCD screen). Also it's bigger and has a bigger physical resolution - it's able to display 1280x720 content with top notch quality. Of course Iphone's screen has a higher pixel density. I'm not sure what's your point with "Iphone is superior" here because saying that Iphone's screen is better would be ridiculous, unless you make "pixel density" your priority for some very strange reason.

Yeah, I lost this one. You should make this comment on that gizmodo post.

Speaking of hypocrites....

Steve Jobs quote 1 = "We've always been shameless about stealing great ideas"
Steve Jobs quote 2 - " I’m going to destroy Android, because it’s a stolen product."

He failed. Plus, he was wrong in the first place so it was moot anyway. And speaking of stolen ideas, everybody I know is laughing their asses off at that "Find my Friends" feature in iOS5 - nothing but an inferior version of Latitude which has existed for what, 2 years now? 3?

there's this guy who used to go to my uni who seems to be screenshotting his iphone a lot lately. one of his latest posts was about "what the hell did i just press here?" - That's referring to the pull down notification screen that is implemented in iOS5. and then his friends are like, wow that's so cool i cant' wait to update my iphone.

Is Find My Friends a very popular thing, though? Is it something they're trying to see if it works and, so far, it hasn't quite, like the optic trackpad replacing the trackball?

It's a cool feature, like the Latitude that noone uses. I'd like to actually know if any of my friends are anywhere around sometimes, and I don't really feel things like Foursquare because I don't feel a need to waste time and "check in" to things.
It's just that nobody uses that so I don't too.

Exactly. So Casey is mad people with iPhones use Find My Friend but not Latitude? Just because one came out before the other, doesn't mean it's better or that everyone should use that over the other.

Is that Iphone app popular though? I thought that there's no service like that which "really a lot of people use". Only some of them that are more popular than the others but still only some people use them.

Personally if it comes to latitude or foursquare I only saw Sandeep, Casey and one friend of mine using these services.

Everybody I know uses Latitude. All my family, and most of my friends who have Android devices. I have at least 25 people on there. It's one of my favorite aspects of Android. Nobody ever has to call or text to see where people are any more.

Also, I'm not mad anything. I just find it amusing that Apple just developed a service that everyone I know has already been using for years.

When I had my iphone there was already a jailbreak app out that did the same. I didn't care much for it, and so I don't have latitude either.

I see. It clearly works for you and you find it useful, but I don't think it's quite the same for everyone else. Everyone I know has a job or sits right next to me in class. Family, friends, etc. Judging by posts on Facebook, it seems that the only people that use FourSquare regularly and unemployed kids I knew from high school that want everyone to know that "gettin' fresh kicks for dees bitches im kickin wit 2nite." So a bunch of imbeciles. Which is why, to me, it doesn't matter who came out with location-based services first, I see them being solely abused by retards. Clearly, others have a different experience with them.

you faggot. good thing I checked out the source. What matters is in the first sentence.

"
Android upgrade for Google Nexus S ‘in weeks’

Google has confirmed that it will update the existing Nexus S handset to new Ice Cream Sandwich Android software in the next few weeks, but has also said that its original Nexus One is ‘too old’ for the upgrade."

What did you honestly think I meant by that? There was no statement, let alone context in my post. Just some foreshadowing, and that also vaguely.
