That's about Vlade and Drazen... Yeah I'll definitely watch it. If I don't catch it, I'll download it.

Btw, Drazen = GOD.

Yeah, hating on Yugoslavia aside - the team was epic as hell.

I wonder if Vlade will speak on that accusation of stomping on a Croatian flag...

I have a Petrovic jersey on my room wall. :D

I'll check this out for sure. Even though there's something that irks me about ESPN telling a war story, our war story, even if it's just background context.

Apparently Radja as well as Petrovic' parents are involved in it. No word on what King Kukoc has to say, but I agree with you. Despite being excited to see this, I'm a tad worried that we'll be stuck with some 'hollywood-ish, Western-like take' on this all... I might be paranoid though, since I hate anyone talking about our story that isn't from the area. lol...

Irish boy, you GTFO. :p

Yeah Petrovic was a good player, but I hated him because I hate everyone who plays for the Nets. I will definitely watch.

Looks interesting, though. I'm a sucker for sports movies that have something behind it.

Thx for the download - I missed it and I tried finding it online yesterday. I've been told it's not too bad. Even a lot of Croats who hate Vlade were pretty surprised.

Hopefully it doesn't choke me up either. Most movies and stories involving the war are hard to swallow, even if it's related to sports.

You want a hug, Sof?
No, but you can rub honey on his thighs, you inconsiderate ape.

Most people I know who've seen it admit they started crying haha. And yeah, it's not bad at all, I mean, while the story does center on Vlade, you get insights from Kukoc and Dino Radja so that it doesn't make it seem like you're getting just the Serb perspective. It hits home for everyone from the region.

Only thing I didn't like about the documentary.

The Croatian team walked off the podium in 1995 because the Yugoslavian team beat the Lithuanians by awful awful officiating.

^Are you sure about that? I have a feeling there were still political motives. But then again, people say the same about Vlade and I'm willing to believe he didn't mean anything bad when he threw the Croatian flag away.

One particular thing that was very real about the documentary is when Vlade goes back to Croatia and the dude on the street tells the camera crew that he's a Cetnik. The tensions are very real, still. Every time I went to Croatia, my family would warn me to, you know, calm my Serbness lol. Plus, it helps that my name is not really ethnic-specific, at least when it comes to Croats and Serbs. But yeah, I've read stories of Serbs dying in Croatia because the doctors refused them help, and I'm not talking war-time, I'm talking like two years ago. Not in the main cities, but in the provinces. Still, though.

Yes, I remember the final, I watched it. The Lithuanians refused to play 6 minutes until the end of the game. The Greek crowd booed the Yugo team. That's mainly why, not because the Serbs won...

Also, that douchebag most likely said "Cetnik" just because he wanted to prove himself or something...

Hell I saw Savo Milosevic walk around Sarajevo this summer and no one gave a crap, people were talking to him.

It's not that bad man, when you can walk around Mostar freely, you can walk around the whole ex-Yu with no trouble :)

I remember that, but they still continued to play and finished the game.

Although Islamization of Sarajevo is very real and going on, the youth are pretty progressive I think. But yeah, I mean it all depends. You can walk around Mostar freely, yes, but probably not with a visible cross at night when people have been drinking. :D
