It looks pretty cool. I'll be visiting a presentation of this technology on tuesday. I wonder what kind of screen will they use.

If you don't know what it is it's a video format that comes in a "pretty high" resolution. To give it a better perspective it looks like this:

Video will be streamed from Japan - it requires a 30gbit/s fiber-optic cable.

Too late! THAT'S already been rendered obsolete with the announcement of New Super Mega-Multi Hi-Vision Deluxe 3.0 with Extreme Turbo Enhancement!

Kidding. Looking forward to your feedback on it.

Quite cool. Not really THAT cool though. Full HD is sharp enough to me for a TV and even on a much bigger screen it's hard to spot the difference from a few meters. It would be easy to spot on an Imax screen looking at a close distance probably but not at home.
Imo they should forget the resolution war and pick a different path now. For movies and games high resolution makes the process of creating material way more expensive and Full Hd is really enough unless you want a 70< inch TV and watch it from 2-3 meters.

I was wondering what happened.
Perhaps they know this and that's why they are going to 3D everywhere now.
