I have a Wii at the moment, but I'm going to sell it soon, as I'm moving to the States permanently and I have one over there also.

Why the preference for xbox? One word - Natal.

^^they are the same really arent they?

Thuggy and I had a debate a while back over which is better now-PES or FIFA. While FIFA is probably the better game now, i never really got into it. I have FIFA 09 and FIFA 10 but i never play them anymore. The old PES up until PES 6 were much better imo.

and Flipmo is a real gamer. thats why :)

There are differences, I've played it on PS3 and Xbox360. I seem to get into it more on Xbox in addition the multiplayer is just better (cause of Xbox live). So it seals the deal for me.

I didn't bring up PES cause the recent ones sucked schlong (2009 and 10). The older ones were epic, especially the one on PS2, I forget... I think it was PES 6 with Adriano on the box. lol.

I enjoyed FIFA 10, but there is much that can be worked on... and I still don't get why they have the fucking Korean and Aussie league, but no Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian or Greek. Doesn't make sense lol.

So I should forget about buying a PS3 and get a X-BOX 360 instead? If they're any threads with pros and cons between the two, link me up.

Kobe, get the PS3. Its free to play online.

What EA Sports are doing for their future games (from 2011 or 2012) is that the only way you can play online is if you have a unique registration code. So buying used games wont allow you to play online. This means if you buy used games, you will have to pay yet even more on the XBOX 360 just to play online).

They are making this move because they feel buying used games harms the industry where sales become depleted.

I need to get myself NBA Live and Fight Night Round 4.

Yeah, you may have to pay that 15$/month for Xbox live, but it's a much greater experience than say, the free PS3... At least for me it is. Everytime I played on my friend's PS3, the multiplayer got laggy cause of other ppl.

It all boils down to preferences imo. in terms of games there isnt a massive difference apart from those that are exclusive to each console. Both consoles have some excellent exclusive games. I prefer the XBox 360 exclusives like the Mass Effect games, Gears Of War games, but others may prefer the PS3 exlusives like God Of War, Killzone etc.

the controller is a big one for me. I never like the PS controller while the xbox 360 one is the best controller ever imo. I remember when i used to play games on PC i had a Sidewinder controller and a PS type controller and i could never use the PS one. i hated it.

i also have a preference for Xbox live and the Xbox interface.

but tbh there isnt a massive difference for me. it comes down to preference imo

What Bobby said.

I used to prefer PS3 because of its technical superiority but when I found out that it isn't really that superior in reality (and that developers hate coding for it to an extent where xbox games have better graphics) AND that Xbox360 controller which owns and is the most comfortable I have ever used and that I dislike the PS3 controller I actually prefer Xbox360.
What I hate about it though is that mine isn't working right now because of E74 and am considering getting a ps3 anyway for a few games and blu-ray player.

Me and my friend always use to tease friend2 about the rings of death on xboxs. we were "loyal" ps3 fans. but then, my friend got a xbox because he wanted the full gaming experience and because of the quality that xbox does for games. The first day he bout it, I was pissed at him and called him a sellout. We didnt talk for a couple day. but by the end of the week, he got a ring-of-death. I laughed my azz off for about 8 minutes and now he wont talk to me again. True Story.

By the way, this game looks tight. Almost felt sorry for Subzero during Kung Lao's fatality.

PS3 for me.

You can buy an XBOX but then you have to buy all the additional hardware on top if it. The Console might be $250-$350 but once you have bought all the extra stuff including the online capabilities the costs run to like anywhere between $750-$1000.

PS3 comes with everything already at stock price. I personally own the PS3 60GIG version with the backwards capabilities for both PS1 & PS2 games. Has 5 USB slots and a slot for just about every memory card/stick you can think off.

When it comes to online play, I simply jack it to my modem and it provides extra power/speed for online plays.

But yeah it's down to preferences.
