lolol, notice the two gray stripes on the wall under the book. it gives the speaker a totally "bad guy uniform" look, like some evil overlord.

wouldn't a video like this be much more frightening if the terrorists rick-rolled us?

or put some synth-pop behind it.

"Atlantis, is calling (SOS for love!)
Atlantis, is calling (death to America!)"

Prime example of chicken and the egg argument in reverse.

The dumb American comedy movies are a stereotype of these kinds of gangsters. These types of gangsters are not trying to replicate something they saw in a movie. The idea is folly. You experienced the dumb American movies first so your initial emotional response to a video like this is "how silly". Interesting insight into human logic and when it fails.

Fact is, I bet the guy would cut your throat if he could, and I bet he has a bunch of followers ready to blow themselves up for greater justice. He, in fact, is an evil overlord, and it is not silly at all.

Because whenever I blurt out stupid shit, people correct me.

I have a problem with stupid shit because I'm never allowed to say it, I always have to justify it or change.

And imo, that was stupid shit lol.

And also, masta used to strike me as a peaceful, diplomatic and compassionate person. Lately I sense much anger and ridicule. I fear he is going to the dark side and I'm worried!

edit: Actually Duke I'm gonna save you the ridicule but go through your own WoW posts. This is not a post that belongs in WoW for reasons that you can find in your own posting history. You used to mod this little place here. This thread has potential and ridicule and nonsense will ruin it, thxverymuch.

Yeah why so serious. It was a joke. There's no anger here.
Ridicule - some, sure. Because these guys seem ridiculous to me and the fact that they can do a lot of bad things is just terrible as much as the fact that they have their followers which are really angry and able to kill for bullshit.
But I don't see a reason why I can't joke about their more ridiculous part.

Dumb American comedies usually overdraw their characters. If you see a gangster he usually looks much more "gangsta" than a real world gangster he's based on.
It's taken to some sort of extreme that is pretty rare in real life and I find it funny that there are people who REALLY are like that. Also, "Overlords of evil" are usually totally fictional characters.
I bet that Overlords of evil in movies are not based on real extremist leaders and such.

Duke's point about these gray stripes and the fact that it makes this guy in the middle look like "the overlord of evil" just adds to that. It's funny to me.
I was not saying that he's not evil. It's just that most evil guys don't look that ridiculous.

And that's totally apart from their cause and ways which are just fucked up.
I didn't see a point to discuss that in all seriousness, that's why I turned that into a joke.

There isn't really any particular reason. Your second post was a lot more insightful and interesting than your first. This is Words of Wisdom, not Our Block. It was early in the morning and I was in a spiritual mood so I came here and didn't expect silly jokes in a serious discussion, so I dissected them as if they were actual. Let's call it an OCD on my part ;p
