i think i should have activated him. might go back and do it again. i can activate him after the final mission and then do his loyalty mission but i dunno if that counts.

did you play Mass Effect yet?

My friend was going to lend it to me, but he lost it... so I'm downloading it via torrent as we speak lol. It's just takinga bit of time since it's a pretty big game.

I used Legion pretty often, he's a fun character. Reminds me a lot of the Droids in StarWars lol

dunno if you played Mass Effect yet Flip but for me that was the better game of the two. i have some issues with ME2. dont get me wrong it is a great game but things like the leveling up system, lack of weapons customisation, the more linear syle of gameplay and the fact that is feels more like a shooter than an RPG disappointed me a little.

Another thing,

this so called "suicide mission" is not very difficult is it? lol. The way it was being talked about throughout the game i was expecting a really tough mission and boss fight at the end but it was so easy. Ive played through it three times now and i never died once. The boss at the end is very easy to kill. THe boss at the end of mass effect was far tougher and you needed more than just bullets to kill him.

Overall the game was far easier than ME. i only died a small number of times during it whereas i remember certain parts of ME where it took me a while to get past certain parts. I played both games on the normal setting the first time round. I guess that could be down to the fact that i understand the game better and how to use powers properly and stuff like that but i still reckon its easier.

I finished this about 2 weeks ago. I have to say at first I was loving it but after getting the first few party members it became pretty bland. It seemed like they threw this game together at the last minute. I mean the whole game is the same damned thing, recruit people, do their loyalty missions. Zzzzz. The suicide mission is lol. The final fight is not even a boss fight, its just a massive cut scene. The leveling up, character customization, graphics, combat system are all better than the first one but overall I'm disappointed with it. Idk, I started a new file in dragon age origins and I have to say, it shits all over mass effect 2. :(

^^i liked the levelling up in ME more.

yea that was a big problem for me. the whole game was spent building up this Suicide Mission and when you got there it was piss easy. i didnt die once during it. I played through that mission about 5 times.

Compare that human reaper boss to Saren in ME. He was so much tougher to kill. It was a very long battle and you couldnt just kill him with bullets. you had to use the right powers, ammo etc.

did all your squad members and crew survive?

All my squad survived. I think as long as you do their loyalty missions they survive. My crew died, i activated legion and did his loyalty quest before going after them. I think the doc is the only one survived. I just can't stand how one dimensional the game is. Get squad member, do loyalty quest, rinse and repeat.

^^yea i got all of them to survive including the crew members

i dont agree about the loyalty missions though. i liked most of them
I'd agree, the loyalty missions themselves were cool, but overall they made for a sub par game. It just seemed the game consisted of recruit squad member, gain their loyalty. For me, it made the game bland and took away from the story and it never created that sense of urgency I felt when playing Mass Effect 1.

this is coming to PS3 next January.

how come xbox 360 cant get games that were exclusive to PS3? like Heavy Rain for example.

apart from Halo and Gears Of War theres is nothing exclusive to it really.

I passed Mass Effect 1 two weeks ago, ordered Mass Effect 2 and am somewhere in the beginning. I was never into sci-fi games but I've heard many recommendations. Same story as with Dragon Age - I was never into that kind of games but decided to give it a try and was very satisfied.

Imo Mass Effect still isn't as good as Dragon Age. Actually nowhere as good. But it's a good game nevertheless. Dialogues are boring and very simple - my character often says different things than I want him to say because choices are confusing. Also after my second playthrough I found out that different dialogue choices turn out to make my character say the exact same thing, no matter which one I pick. Which really sucks. Quests are very repetitive, there's no real reason to earn credits, gaining xp and leveling also isn't too great since gaining 2% to accuracy or damage really isn't rewarding.
Yeah, I'd rate Mass Effect 1 - 8,5/10 and Mass Effect 2 - 7,5/10 since ME2 has improved graphics and gameplay but adds elements that really suck and boosts ME1'a annoyances to another level (for example even less leveling and introducing ammo limits, removing Mako, planet surveying and exploration that suck etc.).
Of course I still think that it's a good game though. I think I just expected more after passing Dragon Age. Mostly because people were saying "if you liked Dragon Age you will love this game". Also I think that these dialogues are mad overrated. I think they are way too simplified in this game. At least after playing DA these dialogues in ME really seem to suck but then again Dragon Age was amazing in this matter.

they are releasing additionanl content for this game on xbox 360 since it was released. obviously you have to pay for most of it. yet now they have announced that the game will be coming to PS3 in January and with the additonal content included. thats a fucking disgrace.

typical EA and their allegiance to Sony. im willing to bet that they had a big influence on the development of this game as well. there is a very mainstream feel to it. i enjoyed the game but i much prefered Mass Effect.

You go to MassEffect.BioWare.com and redeem your code, which will take you to Social.BioWare.com, and so long as you have an account there with the same e-mail address as your XBox Live account, after redeeming the code it should come show up on your Cerberus Network, under available downloads, on the Main Menu of the game.

It's also a slap in the face for people who have finished Mass Effect 2 a long time ago and are waiting for Mass Effect 3 since.. pretty much months already. Because the PS3 version is lagging behind THAT much it means we'll probably have to wait longer for ME3.

It's a VERY strange move though since there won't be Mass Effect 1 for Ps3. Playing ME2 withough playing ME1 must suck. I hope it sells well though because that would mean more players and maybe more similar games in the future.

offtopic: All of these DLCs are pissing me off, really. Mass Effect 2 already has almost 20 freaking DLCs that change close to nothing. Pay 20$ or so for an extra mission, probably after you've already completed a game? No, thanks - it's stupid. Same story as with Dragon Age. Awakening was awesome because it was like a different game, but all these silly DLCs like "Leliana's Song" or the new, upcoming one with Morrigan really annoy me. I passed that game almost a year ago, forgot about it and now I'm waiting for Dragon Age 2 for fucks sake, not an extra mission for Dragon Age that I no longer even have a save file from. But Mass Effect beats them all with "extra submachine-gun that sucks DLC" and such.
I hate these silly little DLCs. /offtopic

I just borrowed ME1 from a friend and I really don't like it. I'm stuck in the beginning, I dunno how to fucking get to the marked point on the map. It's in the ruin yard and it just sits there blinking like a fucktard.

Then, I went further to the part where the guys speared and then comes alive, kill him, and then get to the door. Try to unlock it, fuck up the damn combo thing, and now I don't have enough points to unlock it. Fucking gay.

I'm probably going to return it to my friend soon.
