there's a game called "second life" where basically you control a virtual character in a simulated world and interact with others.

there has been cases of paedophiles using this gaming environment to abuse children and girls sexually, because they can control them any way possible. so now there are police policing the environment and game network and these virtual paedos are getting real life sentences and facing the consequences.

so the saying goes, "second life? get a first life".

The only problem i have with it is the camera angle but you can customise it yourself anyway. In the default wire camera angle, the camera is too far away and the players look small. Are you talking about the way the players run in FIFA 09? i thought it looked a bit stupid as well because the players had their heads down all the time. I dont think its like that in FIFA 10.

I downloaded both demos. Pro Evolution is nearly the exact same as it was last year except the gameplay seems sped up or something. I doubt i will buy it this year, for the first time in years.

You need to play FIFA 09 or FIFA 10 for a while so you get used of it. It took me a while to get the hang of it.

FIFA 10 has received very good reviews.

I still prefer Pro Evo, mainly due to the Be A Legend mode which I found to be addictive.

I can't stand that theres only about 1 or 2 freekicks per game on Fifa because the Circle button (not sure the Xbox version button) is so damn effective. It's been like that since 98 when I would just press that and win every single tackle.

I think Fifa and Pro are in the shadows of their Ps1 and ps2 days where the games seemed to run smoother. I loved Fifa until 2003 came out.

Although second life can be perceived as being loserville, and it is to an extent but my Lecturer at Uni sold his business he madeon there for £1.3M. So it has its plus sides. lol

Its metacritic score for xbox 360 and PS3 is 87 whereas Pro Evolutions 2009's metacritic score is 74 on the xbox 360 and 77 on the PS3. the metacritic score is an average review score from all the leading video game websites. FIFA 10 has 92 on PS3 and 91 on xbox 360 so far.

and in FIFA 10, there is a set piece customisation tool. so you can design your own set pieces and then implement them during the game.

Id say FIFA 10 is on a par with the old pro evolution games but i still prefer them.

you didnt like FIFA 03? The one with Davids on the cover? that was a very good game imo. they went and ruined it after that. Now they have it right again.

Man, id give FIFA a go this year. You can always buy both of course. i doubt i will buy pro evolution this year though.

I saw a few reviews giving Pro a higher score, but like I said I don't care much for reviews so I don't care how its rated, I've played games which get awesome reviews but I think they suck. So no need telling me about the review scores.

Fifa 10 on par with the old Pro's? No way...Pro evo's gameplay was on such a high level and no way is Fifa 10 that close to it, its not as fluid and is quite jerky and easier to work out than the old pro's. When you beat Chelsea 6-0 on the highest difficulty with Wycombe Wanderers its just not fun to play.

Pro isn't as good as the past games, thats pretty obvious but I still prefer it.

Fifa 03 was awful, graphics wise it was immense but the gameplay was so awful, the player movements were groggy and the goals were pretty much the same, it was impossible to go around the keeper wtf lol. And the realism of fighting the league title with Middlesbrough and Tottenham was rather retarded.

I am currently renting Fifa for free and I'm not that impressed with it.

Yes i still maintain that the old pro evolution games were better games. i enjoyed them more than any football games i have ever played but FIFA is the best that you can get right now. It is a damn good all round football game. The last two pro evolutions games were not.

FIFA 09 beat Pro Evolution 2009 hands down in all departments including gameplay. You list some annoyances from FIFA 10 but there is far more in the disastrous Pro evo 08 and last years one which was just a slightly tuned up re release.

As i said before, it takes a while to get use to it. Your not gonna be able to go round the keeper if you've just started playing it. It feels alot like real football gameplay wise imo.

To each their own though. I felt ripped off after buying Pro Evolution last year. I bet the online problems wont be sorted this time either. Im not sure how much of a representation of the finished game the demo is. Id imagine that gameplay wise that its not be changed too much from the demo. Its poor imo. very unrealistic.

The going round the keeper thing was about Fifa 03. Not 2010. And I bought that game, I played on it for enough time to realise the game sucks balls and you still couldn't go past the keeper, i remember when you upped the difficulty level it would just mean your defence would go awol with every through ball by the CPU.

I disagree with Fifa being the better game, as I still enjoyed PES09 last year, I said before I only played the BAL mode. It's a mode which I always wished was implemented in PES, and they did it quite well. But this year I think they have worked more on the Master League than BAL.

I really don't think Fifa or Pro are any way good as an all round game, They both have taken steps back on the next gen in terms of realism. This is probably because of the shorter deadlines.

The little annoyances in Fifa bug me more, theres no need for a sliding tackle when the other tackle works 90% of the time without giving away a foul, that hasnt changed in 10 years, I can literally win a game without sliding in for a tackle.

Pro has many bugs also, the game was too easy last year and the top class players could just waltz around defenders, the online stuff doesn't bother me as I don't play online.

But both games have more bugs and annoyances than ever before. *goes back to Pro Evo 6*

If a game gets a high metacritic score then it is a pretty good indication that it is a good game. All those different websites that reviewed the games cant be wrong or biased. Obviously there are some games that get high review scores that some people wont like. Maybe they dont like the genre or just cant get into the game.

Maybe you prefer it but that doesnt mean its a better game. But by all means, buy the game you prefer. FIFA 09 has more realistic gameplay, better graphics and visuals, more licenses, better sound, better presentation and 100 times better online play with little or no lag whatsoever. There are so many things wrong with the gameplay in Pro Evo 2009. shit passing system. the ball hardly ever goes where you intend it to. Chipped passes look so retarded. so does shooting. Players toe poking the ball. The AI in BAL is shit. The referee gives frees for nothing. I could go on.

Actually FIFA has taken alot of steps forward. PES has taken many steps back. Maybe if people dont buy it, they might get their act together. Thats my thinking.

As I never said PES 09 was amazing :wondering: It seems if one of these games is negativily spoken about the competition has to be brought up and criticised also. :wondering:

Yes but its still opinions. Not fact. Thats my point. I still don't think FIFA is that good, that again is opinion not fact, it doesn't mean anything.

The next gen coding takes 6 months more than the old gen. Pes don't have enough man power to cover this, hence why the games have struggled to live up to past heights.

I didn't want to compare the games as this is just about Fifa, PES2010 isn't even out yet, all we have is a demo. But Fifa has flaws also, its not perfect, I have named flaws of PES to show I am not being totally one sided on this.

My whole point is that Fifa isn't as good as people are making out, It has bugs and glitches and is only being overhyped due to its perceived lack of competition, same reason why PES sucks to people, because its not reaching the heights as before, its still a decent game.

I started playing Pro Evolution 4 on the PC again today. First time in 3 years or so. I always thought that this was the best one in the series along Pro Evolution 5. I have them all. It is imo the best football game ever. It feels so much like real football. it such a shame what they did with it though.

I have two controllers for my pc. One is a Sidewinder and the other is like the Playstation controller so playing pro evolution on PC isnt too bad. I used to play all my games on PC up until a few years ago.

Havent played RE 5 yet.

I realised I am quite bored of games, I've never been a fan of online gaming and I only played games to escape my reality for a peroid of time, but nowadays my PS3 is collecting dust and I'm not looking forward to any game coming out.
