I have no idea what this is based on. It's so random they may as well have drawn the names out of a hat.

My top 10 would be:

1. Sega Dreamcast
2. Sega Megadrive
3. Microsoft Xbox
4. Nintendo Wii
5. Super Nintendo Entertainment System
6. Playstation 2
7. Nintendo Entertainment System
8. Playstation 1
9. Nintendo 64
10. Nintendo GameCube

I haven't played enough PS3 or Xbox 360 to put them in the list.

^^things like success, popularity, quality of games, and how the consoles influenced the video game industry were some of the factors taken into consideration.

Obvioulsy consoles like NES and Atari 2600 had a huge influnce on the video game industry. The NES practically ressurected it. Atari 2600 was huge back in its time.

i wonder who had a Neo Geo back in the day. They were around 800 dollars to buy and games were something like 150 dollars each. There were some awesome games on it though especially if you were a fan of fighting games.

SNES and NES FTW!!!

Anything else, it doesn't really matter the order. They all have their ups and downs, but SNES and NES just, can't be fucked with imo.

There was this Chinese family that lived next door to me for a while. They had one. They got all their stuff from China when they visited so they had crazy shit I had never seen before.

^^so?

its his personal preference. Dreamcast was a great console with many memorable games. So was the Megadrive, which was far more popular(and better imo) than SNES in UK and Ireland. i guess his list is his own preferences from the consoles he has played.

Imo, it goes:

1. A computer
2. Playstation
3. Sega Genesis
4. Xbox 360

These are the only 4 systems I've seriously gamed on. The only nintendo system that was ever any good, imo, was the Super Nintendo, and I only played that at other people's houses. Gamecube and N64 were fucking aweful consoles. Hated ps2 and ps3.

Many people say the SNES is one of the best consoles ever, but what they forget is that the Mega Drive/Genesis actually won that round of the console war. It was more succesful worldwide and had better games.

I've played most consoles, and the Dreamcast and Mega Drive trump them all, on the most important and fundamental level - the amount of fun you have playing them.

I agree with Mega drive being superior to super nintendo though I used to play it a lot when I was a kid.

You know what's underrated? Arcade systems :D like those games you get to play on Mame now. They were awesome.

Also the only game I really enjoyed on N64 was Goldeneye. That was the shit back in the days and probably the only game exclusive for Nintendo that I ever enjoyed.

Neo Geo had the best fighting games. They had all of the King Of Fighters games. Epic stuff.

Genesis/Megadrive raped everyone though, I wish mine still worked, it was awesome.

I think that's why I loved the Mega Drive and Dreamcast so much. They did an amazing job of porting arcade games to home use.

Many Mega Drive classics started off as being arcade games, and same with Dreamcast. In fact IIRC the chipset of the Dreamcast was based on some Sega arcade unit hardware. That's why things like Soul Calibur and House of the Dead worked so flawlessly on it.
