so thats Bosnia as good as in the play offs then?

Argentina down 1-0 to Paraguay. very poor.
We need a win against Estonia who we beat 7-0 last time. I think that they won't let us win easily this time around.

We need 3 points from the last two matches (Estonia away and Spain home)

Turkey plays Belgium away and Armenia home.

We are +4 at the moment. We win in Estonia, we are 2nd.

A couple of crazy results today. Including Armenia 2-1 Belgium.

Riquelme wont play because Maradona criticised him when he did pundit work

Why the others arent picked is a mystery and also Walter Samuel and Lucho Gonzalez
I know the Riquelme situation, it was funny I was speaking to my Brazilian buddy today and he was telling me how Maradona hated how Riquelme was being idolised by the Boca fans and this being one of the reasons he dislikes Riquelme. Same with Messi :thumb:

I just saw the England goals. Looks like we didn't even have any defenders. lol
it was shocking. They lacked fight and belief as well. just a really forgettable performance.

And i reckon England will go all out to beat Ukraine because Capello hates losing. Even when Croatia scored last night, he was pissed off. A lot of players will be fighting to make the final squad and if they start slacking off then they wont make it.

Hopefully if we qualify for the World Cup we can forget about this qualifying campaign. Good qualifying doesn't exactly mean good World Cup performance. France proved that at WC 2006, we had just made it to World Cup 98, includes other cases also.

^^Brazil in 2002.

they were pretty poor in qualification to the point that they were worried that they wouldnt make it. They got 4th place which is the last automatic qualification spot in South America. Then they won the WC.

I think Brazil will win the next WC. They look a very strong team now under Dunga.

Yeah, I think the 2002 Brazil is the best example.

At this point, Brazil, Neatherlands and Spain are the top contenders imo.

cant believe they qualified.

its ridiculous how asia gets 5 slots. they should have 3 and maybe one play off. Bahrain are close to reaching the playoffs i think. I think that play off will be against NZ.

Btw.

The Saudi v Bahrain had an amazing finish...1-1..bahrain winning on away goals...Saudi score in the 1st min of injury time...Bahrain look out of it, then win a corner in the 93rd min and score. Amazing.

Should be the other way round.

Bahrain should play the South American side. Central America v Oceania

UEFA and CAF have a guaranteed number of places, the number of qualifiers from other confederations is dependent on play-offs between the highest placed teams in the qualification tournaments not guaranteed a place in the finals:

  • CONCACAF 4th place v CONMEBOL 5th place
  • AFC 5th place v OFC winner

its good that the Saudi's or Iran wont be there to embaress themselves again.

So apparently Klasnic spit on John Terry, so says JT.

Klasnic has hit back saying that he indeed spit on him, but only because JT hit him in the kidney where he was operated.

Apparently a word was said in private between the 2, but it wasn't squashed though, so it seems.

Didn't JT spit on someone in the past for the CL final? lol... what's he on about..

it's sad that france outplayed us (x5) with a player less. But, we still need just one win.
