Yeah, BIG mistake signing him to such a lucrative deal. If you look at the best defenses in the league, BAL, PIT, NE, PHI, and so on, they don't spend all of their money on one guy. They just run systems that work, and find the talent to bring the best out of it. Sure there are some guys that dominate defensively, but they also have help, and the Titans defense had plenty of players that made Haynesworth look good.
Michael Griffin is an up and coming star safety, as well as Cortland Finnegan who is also a great DB. Plus Keith Bullock, Kyle Van den Bosch, David Thornton, etc.. So I don't even think Tennessee will suffer that much without him. Just wait, I bet their DT Jason Jones will have a better year for the Titans, than Haynes "not much" worth will have with Washington.
