And 90GB HD DVDs exist, and most movies come out on 30GB discs, where as Blu-Ray has only ever released movies on 25GB discs. Please get your numbers right.
There are no 90GB HD DVD discs, show me somewhere where it says that. Theoretical limit for HD DVD is only 60GB,check the spec sheet.
Yes blue ray has only released 25GB movie disc so far,but the 50 are coming out within months.
The article is fair, but how does it prove blue ray is overhyped? It just says sony is being late with their technology.
Look, picture quality wise, right now HD DVD does look better. The reason for this is because HD DVD is using the VC1 codec while blue ray is only using MPEG-2. 25GB isn't enough storage for VC1. Once the 50GB discs are out, they will then use VC1 too. As far as quality goes, both formats will look exactly the same, but with 20GB more storage for blueray, movies will have more extras and special features.

Really? You're not hearing any noise? Thats funny considering HD DVD has a 33% higher market share than Blu.
That is because HD DVD had a head start. We don't know how many units that %33 extra represents. Come November 17th,the table will turn in one day. You don't judge success by launch or early in the life of a technology.
