^Patriots will be third place in the division
I assume you're picking the Jets and Bills to finish ahead of them. As far as the Bills go, who other than McGahee do they have going for them? A defense full of big names hasn't been able to lead them to the promise land yet. The Jets are good, but haven't made any key additions to put them over the top. You think two lost coaches and one major loss on defense is reserving them a spot in the basement? These guys still know how to play football, they don't need Weis and Crennel to tell them that.

They're ready to prove you guys wrong for a 4th year out of 5

belichick without weis could equal belichick of the browns. he's a defensive genius, but not exactly a guru on offense

i think the jets and bills have caught up to the pats.. can't be on top forever with the same personell

^^ cuz they had no defence, now they hav a killer defence, and a decent offence and we all no wut wins Super Bowls, Defence
But that's on paper. In order for a team to play well they have to gel together, and since they have yet to play, you can't really make a judgment. There have been plenty of teams that looked good on paper, but fell apart during the season. Don't get your hopes up too high just yet.

And yes, defense wins championships, but you have to have better than a "decent" offense to have a chance

But Panthers are gonna take it over the Jets if it comes down to that (I still love ya though Robber :D)
well as long as we beat the Patriots i can settle for that

I think that this year the Detroit Lions can make the playoffs with players like Harrington an excellent young qb, rb kevin jones that could surprise and wide receivers like roy williams and a good defense. Go Lions but Eagles to the Super Bowl with a Terrell Owens rejuvenated and that will listen to Andy Reid unless he's not gonna play during the entire season and he doesn't want that.

nice pics :thumb: :p

NFC's admittedly pretty weak. Only three real contenders, the Panthers, Eagles, and Vikings. There are a couple other teams that could make it, but it'd be abnormal.

^^So true but i hate saying it cus my friend plays safety for them, sad sad sad. The amount of points they put up it might be possible but highly unlikely. I don't think the Pats can do it again, they have lost a lot of players and mainly coaches, plus the Ravens. I want to see the Eagles win though, i think they can do it, egos aside.

if the Colts get homefield advantage throughout the playoffs, I could see them getting to the superbowl

but another cold weather trip to Foxboro or Giants stadium (ie 2002 in NY, 2003 and 2004 in NE) and its just another heartbreaking season for Manning and co.

the Jets beating the Colts 41-0 in 2002 was the happiest I've ever been :thumb:

The 49ers coming back and beating the Jets in 2002-03 playoffs was the happiest I've ever been, that game was some crazy shit. Anyway, the Colts could possibly make it, but like Bank said, if they have to play in NE or anywhere cold, it's lights out. I can't see them winning it all though, their defense just isn't strong enough. What was the score last year, 20-3 for NE, that's pretty bad.
