What makes a terrorist?

Yes they should be understood much deeper in order to find the root of the problem and eliminate it rather than increasing security and say it's working because there hasn't been a terrorist attack since.

For reference, see The Simpsons episode with the bear. The mayor sets all this security crap in motion and Homer says it's working because there hasn't been a bear since. Lisa responds that with that reasoning you can conclude that *picks up a rock* this rock repels tigers since there hasn't been a tiger here. Homer buys the rock.



I don't really need to respond to this any further, do I?

All I'm saying is that these people should be understood in order to prevent things like 9/11 happening again, not because you want to help those poor confused souls.

Of course you can simply label them terrorists and be done with it but that will only invite future drama that will "change the world forever".

what can you really find out about a terrorist by studying into anymore than they have been for previous decades? what could you possible learn about why a terrorist does the actions that they do? not a whole lot


now if you are tlaking about trying to understand muslim extremists more deeper than they already have been there isn't much more to really learn about them. they are racist, full of hate, anger, and want all the jews dead and the western world if they do not conform to their ways. they haven't changed much in 70 years.

See Puff, to think that way got the US in a situation the regret now. Of course you should understand history, metality, religion, etc before you go somewhere and try to 'free' someone. I know you're gonna be stubborn about this about once more, this is exactly why the US got into situations they don't want to be in right now.

yes, people who keep women uneducated, manipluate their religion for their own personal gains and kill in the name of their god because they dont' like "evil western world" should be understood much deeper and welcomed with open arms. after all if you don't conform to their ways they will cut your head off.

Enough about George Bush! He's not the only terrorist. So he keeps his wife and young school children uneducated, so he says he does things in the name of God and being a Christian, so he doesn't like the Western world (France, Germany, American citizens), he should be understood much deeper, after all if you don't conform to his ways he will enforce the Patriot Act and throw you in Guantanamo for life, effectively cutting your head (free speech) off.
