Use the Knowledge Base, that's what it's there for.

Yea, i saw that thread after i made that post.

Well, i installed AVG free one and ran the update and also scanned the pc. unfortuntly i had this virus shown and could not delete.
Trojan horse Downloader Generic CPI

Then i once again scanned the pc and this time that virus didnt show up.

Why it didnt show up second time is what im wondering?

Also, Illuminattile, could you tell me what should i do about that blue screen thing? (thats not in knowledge base thread).

When the virus showed up, you didn't have the option to do anything? It might be that AVG automatically healed or quarantined it. I don't know, I don't use AVG.

I'm genuinely stumped. All signs point to a hardware issue, but if you're sure you didn't install any hardware recently then I don't know why it would come up.

Yea i did have the options. i had healing, quarantined, deleting and continuing. i choose deleting cause that seemed easy way out (i think?) and it didnt work. but for the future if the viruse is detected which option should i choose?

When I got a blue screen error for no apparent reason, it was because of my graphics card. It still appears ocasionally but not too often.....I can live with it

The error sounds like it's a RAM problem...how long have you had the PC? If you're still under warrenty then phone up the company and get the to sort it.

RAM is memory chip(s) inside the computer. When you tell them RAM they will understand what you're talking about.
