The capacity to understand and solve previous unknown situation (problems) is called intelligence.
How many intelligent people in this world do we have, then? Can we say intelligence is to not be in unkown situations, intelligence is to know what other people classify as unknown situations? Or, the simple fact that we're never faced with a situation that somebody wasn't faced with before us?

Intelligence is knowing what to do when nobody else does...
Then, there's only....1 intelligent person in the whole world, or none?

As for certain other people, I created this thread to sort of see other people vioice their opinions and debate, not their ability to go to www.dictionary.com and copy the definitions.

Intelligence is the ability to make decisions that are not based on Instinct. Even an animal can be intelligent. For example let’s say your DOG is intelligent because it can make a decision based on its training or its experience. Dogs can also make decisions based on Instinct and so can people.

LOGIC and Reason have nothing to do with Intelligence they are the definition of what it means to be human.

smarter- or dumber???!!! Intelligence cannot be measure by carrying out a few tasks at one time- i.e. completing an IQ testevery now and then. Intelligence needs to be looked at continuosly and when applied to everyday life as well as constructing difficult tasks. Knowlede is linked with intelligence- like someone said before, knowledge needs to be appliedfor someone to be considered intelligent.

Well actually there are 2 sorts of intelligence imo. First is when somebody is born and has a very developed mind compared to other kids. Second, is the fact that acquiring knowledge, books, researches and everything else related. If you cats really think about it life is a research itself.

Peace
