that was an awful final. berbatov was just plain useless.

i say united should sell berbatov, recuperate some money to buy tevez. seriously. berba is far too lazy and all he can do is finish.

Barcelona were absolutely brilliant tonight in particular Xavi, Messi and Iniesta. I have watched every champions league final since 1991 and this is one of the best displays i have seen in a final. and whoever said it was a poor match? yes Man Utd were but they were outclassed by fantastic football that was a joy to watch,.

All this shit about Barca having such a poor defense. They must not be too bad if they hold Man Utd scoreless

Ferguson fucked up big time with his team selection imo.

Horrible performance by ManU. It kinda reminded me of the EC final between Germany and Spain. The first ten minutes we were the better team and after that....nothing, zero, emptyness.

Barca deserved to win the final. Although they didnt deserve to reach it in the first place.

By the way, nice tackle by Scholes.lol. Clearly a red card. Besides this incident: Well done referee.
We could argue this all night but i am convinced that Chelsea would have bottled it against Man Utd again. I am delighted that Barcelona won that game and over the whole tournament, were the best team.

I just read that Ronaldo has crticised the Man Utd tactics. I doubt Fergusons will like that. As if he can talk anyway, he was poor in the game.

Im watching it again now. Rooney was absolutely awful.

I questionned the tactics when I first saw em. Either way, Ronaldo wasn't much.

Highlight of the match: Xavi getting into Ronaldo's face.

Xavi > Ronaldo.

Utd were poor yes, but Barca was untouchable for most of the match. The way they played position, let the ball do the work, their calm and ease individually on the ball, all very impressive. And as a team lightning quick and dangerous at the right opportunities. Feisty too, sharp off the ball and strong in the challenges.

Xavi and Iniesta deserve a lot of praise, definitely, but they are players who really shine in a well-oiled team. As long as there's movement, they can pass. Imo, their (Xavi and Iniesta) performance, because of the type of players they are creatively, underlines the excellence of Barca as a team.

Not only as a team, but as an organisation. 7 players from Barca's team today were raised in Barca's youth.

Valdes, Puyol, Piqué, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Messi + Krkic who didn't start.

Evra was poor as hell. He's at fault for the first goal for lazy defending. He should have been behind Vidic, but you see him sitting around. Freaking Carrick had to run in, and it made him look bad.

Ronaldo was explosive at first, but he also is at fault for the 2nd goal (as is Evra again for letting Puyol get that ball, and a piss poor clearance). He was right next to Xavi, and did not do any defending. He let Xavi have all the space in the world to give that cross to Messi. Only a fucking moron leaves Xavi that much space.

I would have expected Man U to target Sylvinho who is a 2nd string defender, but they didn't.

Also, Ronaldo is a cunt.

Iniesta's pass for Messi was precise, it was unbelievable.

Who needs Ronaldo when you have Xavi or Iniesta...

Guardiola's tactics were great. 4-3-3, with Messi and Henry wide so they had space to play one on one, and also giving space to Iniesta and Xavi to literally have fun in the midfield.

Ronaldo chokes in big games. People say that he's young and that he has time to evolve. Yes it's true. He's 24... But Xavi is 25 and I've never heard anyone say anything about how young he is.

I agree. They are tough as nails even though they are small. There was a passage of play in the second half where the ball was just flying around the place and the likes of Messi, Xavi and Iniesta were throwing themselves into everything. They have got great bottle as well as they showed against Chelsea and Real Madrid for example. great side.

Not overly dissapointed to be honest, there's no shame in losing to the best footballing team on the planet. It's just our performance that annoys me, went out with a whimper and showed very little heart. It was obvious that Barcelona wanted it way more.

To whoever said Ronaldo was poor, I thought he was the best of a bad bunch, created a few chances for himself, him and O'Shea probably the only two that had a decent game.

^^he wasnt good actually. He hit a few wild shots at the start when we could have passed to a team mate in a better position that was about it. For the best player in the world it was a pretty poor display. Perhaps, he was one of Man Utd's better players but the rest of him were pretty shit.
