Although, I agree that it was fucked up that no-one stepped in (similar to China invading Tibet whom they still occupy today) & to an extent I would say fuck America, UK & the rest you've got to remember that some of these countries who you would expect to step in were still recovering from a war.

But, yeah, in principle fuck 'em.

Some historians say that World War 2 started in 1936 when Japan attacked asian countries, even Chiang Kai-Shek was part of the Big Four allied commands (included Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt). Saying they're not part of World War 2, might as well call it the European War then.
Japan invaded Manchuria 6 years before a shot was fired in Europe. If historians are calling that the start of World War II, then the real start of World War II was World War I. I don't know which historians claim 1936 was the start of World War II but they're definitely a very tiny minority.

same shit happend in indonesia and every country those japanese bastards came.
and FUCK america, UK and everybody else who just sat and did nothing.
So the United States was supposed to amphibiously invade nations 4,000 miles away to fight off the Japanese? Direct intervention in the Pacific theater by a Western nation was not feasible simply from a logistics standpoint.

And I'm guessing that while you bash the United States for not coming to the defense of innocents in the Asian world, you criticize the United States for coming to the defense of innocent Iraqis who suffered under Hussein's brutal regime.

So it's ok to fight the Japanese in places like Indonesia and China to come to the defense of people, but it's not ok to fight Saddam Hussein in Iraq to come to the defense of Iraqis?

Honestly, what's the difference? Iraq was a war of aggression but an invasion of the Southeast Pacific would have been as well. More importantly, just about every nationalist movement in SE Asia preferred Japan to the United States, except for one: Ho Chi Minh's Vietnamese movement.

Seriously, at what point is it ok to let a region fight its own wars? What business did the United States have in Manchuria in 1933?

The US refused to support or acknowledge Japanese imperialism, and the Axis success in Europe from 1939-41 emboldened Japan to attack European colonies in the Pacific since they were busy fighting Hitler for their survival.

When Japan became more agressive and more assertive regarding their imperialism, including repeated threats against the American held Phillipines, that's when the United States refused to send more oil to them.

Anyway, this stuff is taught in classes, at least at a college level. And to be honest, the war between China and Japan started over 5 years before World War II, so it's not even really a part of that war anyway.

Japan however refuses to acknowledge the Rape of Nanking in their textbooks to this day.
I had a condenced version haha. I shouldn't have worded to make it seem like I was saying that it was the only or number 1 reason, I just meant to say it added to it.
