So Celtic signed the Polish keeper Artur Boruc, meaning that their interest in Niemi is over.

And it looks like they're going to capture the signing of the Japanese midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura. I don't know much about him really, but he was shit hot 2 Champs ago.

^isnt he the player who hasnt scored once in 2 years in Italy?
He's a playmaking midfielder.

I don't know how many goals he's scored, but it doesn't matter because that isn't the object of his role.

Plus Italy is the toughest league in the world for goalscoring.

beReal, that sounds more like a rumour than a concrete thing......

Anyway, with Vieira gone for 18M, Arsenal are supposedly trying to get Jenas from Newcastle but have been told they'll need to dig deep into their wallets to get him.

I find it very, very sad that Arsenal are trying to replace a player of Vieira's quality with a player of Jenas'. Sure he's got potential but that isn't enough to fill Vieira's boots. And why buy potential when you've already got Fabregas?

I suppose I should be happy because it makes it all the easier for Chelsea to walk to the title again, but the fact s it makes Wenger - who I quite like, even though he's becoming bitchy like Sir Alex - look like a twat.

So Shaun Wright-Phillips has asked Man City to allow him to speak to Chelsea.......WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

It's so fucking over now!! Jose just needs to get his signature & Essien's & it's going to be a fucking walk in the park next ahahahahahah, a striker too lol

And there's rumours Henry is going to leave Arsenal. While I would have to be delirious to consider the possiblity of him coming to The Bridge, I am equally enthused by the prospect of him fucking off to Spain or something. Arsenal are already looking vulnerable with big Patti LaBelle gone, so if Theirry goes they're done.

All I need now is Van Nistelrooy to leave Man U & we can probably afford not to turn up for about 15 league matches this season lol

Plus, I just watched Rangers vs Linfield. Such a nice atmosphere & Ricksen & Bazza were playing godly as per usual. Just need to hope Bazza's little injury isn't serious. :thumb:

Is everyone else thinking Essien is being wildly overpriced?

i heard that Lyon want 30 mill for him..wtf

Also if i was Inter i would take the 50 million and take Ronaldo, sounds a more than a good deal..if its true.

Essien is being overpriced due to the football world's awareness of Abramovich's wallet.

And I feel that the Ronaldo+50M for Adriano rumour is utter bullshit. It would make no sense.

Chelsea have agreed a fee for SWP. I think he'll do pretty well at Chelsea, though with Robben, Joe Cole and Duff all competing for places on the wing I can see someone getting annoyed.

Drogba's blamed Mourinho's tactics for his lack of success in the Premiership last season. He said he'll be more selfish this season and concentrate on getting goals rather than helping the team out. "I made Lampard and Cole shine. I sacrificed myself in the interests of Chelsea". Nice to see some team spirit at Chelsea.

Ashley Cole is apparently staying at Arsenal, he's set to sign a one-year contract extension.

Rio Ferdinand got booed during Man Utds 5-1 victory in a pre-season friendly against Clyde. Personally, I say we ship him off to Madrid for a hefty fee and use the money to bring in a few new faces, starting with Ballack and then maybe Milito, Mexes, Chivu or Ledley King. At 120k a week he'd be almost impossible to sell in the future, not to mention vastly overpaid. He's good, but "best defender in the world"? He wasn't even the best defender at United last season. Wes Brown is good enough to start, Pique is a ridiculously promising player and the money we got from the transfer would give us more than enough to bring in a top quality replacement.
