^it certainly was a good dream. a very good dream indeed. when i think that we (the habs) could have maybe eliminated the hurricanes in the 1st round if we didnt lost koivu.. habs have been falling off in the series when we lost him.

i'd like to see brind'amour get it...he's been waiting a long time for the cup
it'll be brind'amour, ward wasnt even the starter at the beginning of the playoffs and his inconsistency against buffalo is gunna be the deciding factor

^ i'm not counting Staal out either though. He's contributed to all three of the wins. If he has a big game tonight, he could pull it out.

Long shot though.

looks like its twice now that 2 crap ass american hockey franchises have been saved by lord stanley's cup, and it looks like twice now that two potential american franchises have been saved from moving to winnipeg. its not going to last, one of these teams is dead within the next 5 years, either tampa, florida panthers, nashville, or anaheim. im not saying its a gurantee move to winnipeg but they got a shot! that will be the day.....bring back the jets!!!!

^ relevance?

STAAL!
if it wasnt for this year, your hurricanes would have been goners for sure in the coming years...prolly moving to a place like kansas. my point is if it wasnt for the tampa bay lightning winning the cup 2 years ago and the carolina hurricanes (who are most likely goin to win) these teams would have likely not survived.

actually, the hurricanes get a lot of love from the people in carolina. it was unlikely they would be moving anytime soon. and hell, they were in the finals just a few years ago.
