meh.. i dont like edmonton all that much, but i'd rather have them winning the stanley cup than carolina.. they have a strong team.

They surprised the hell out of me when they knocked off the Dead Wings in the 1st round. either Edmonton is that good or Detroit was just that bad.

It was a little of both, but the Oil are no joke. These boys literally shut down the Thorton/Cheechoo line during the second series against San Jose, and these two guys were the top two scorers of the league for the regular season! And don't even bring up what the Oil did to Anaheim in the third series. They essentially molested them in the first three games of the series. It was crazy! Carolina's definetely gonna have they're work cut out for them against Edmonon.

yeah this is killing edmonton and the guy if i remeber correctly doesnt even have a good average.. he isnt that much of a good goalie.

i still believe that edmonton has chances, but that is if they win at home. then again i aint sure anymore about that.

You guys act like that mattered in the last game. Edmonton couldn't score on Ward. Whoever was playing goalie for them had nothing to do with that. And Markanen wasn't that bad. You can only do so much. Some of those goals seemed to be on 3rd and 4th chance opportunities. Somewhere along the line the defense needs to step up.

And all those penalties? Edmonton needs to gain some discipline. Markanen didn't commit all those interference penalties and such. How many power plays did Carolina have? At least 7. You can't win a game playing a man down for 1/3 of it.

So blah blah blah. Make all the excuses you want.
