BY THE WAY: nice copy/paste . i saw the exact same post on an other website...
Was that directed at me? Cause if so, I didn't get it from another website. I received it in an email so the only copy/paste I done was from that email. Nice try though.

The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)
Not an appropriate term 'islamic bible', its not the same as the Bible, say instead Islam's Noble Book or soemthing.

Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, wh ile some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

(Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm?!
U sure thats from the Qur'an ? lol

But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity,- they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand. - Qur'an 9:11

^ thats verse 11 chapter 9 from the Quran.

Now after I found that out, how can I trust the rest of the information you posted. Btw Iraq does have deep roots no doubt.

Oh I don't buy into everything that comes at me. I just found it interesting is all. I've never read one verse of the Quran so I'm not even gonna act like I know whether or not the verse is real. :thumb:

Good for you, but (depending on which poll you cite) between 45% and 70% of your fellow Americans think (or at least thought, without evidence) that Saddam was involved in the WTC bombing.
i stopped listening to what polls said when i was in high school after i learned of they are created. polls are bullshit.

besides, i dont think saddam was much of a muslim.. he might have shouted allahu akbar a few times in a camera but that doesnt make u a muslim... besides, some even suspect him of having christian roots since his anscestors seem to come from georgia (no not in america, but the ex-soviet province, just where stalin was from) and because he, like no other shiit leader before, hasnt troubled the christians in his country.
Not exactly true, atleast i know a family from Iraq wich had to flee when they found out they where Christians, there rest of the family who stayed where murdered by Saddam.

The fact that it uses the verse number 9:11 is probably because the author thinks there was a connection between 9/11 and Iraq, like many Americans do.
The mock Quran verse predates the invasion of Iraq, so it has nothing to do with that connection.

As for the rest of this, saying Mesopotamia is Iraq, or Babylon is Iraq etc. is rather disingenuous, seeing as how Mesopotamia was a larger region. It's sorta like saying that every reference to Western Russia in the 19th century was a reference to Poland.
