I don't agree with death sentencing, but lets see if Saddam can get out of this.

if saddam gets out of this, the majority (anti-saddam) of iraqis will be furious - if the new system cant kill a man with such a plethora of evidence against him, they are going to go fucking NUTS. think about it. he NEEDS to die.

it is being said that it was timed to give republicans here a boost in the elections. and i wouldnt doubt it. i think it was obvious that this was going to happen. the US of George Bush isnt going to let him live. you know if the shoe was on the other foot they would do the same thing, but we would blow the fuck out of them if they did that which they might in turn do to us down the line. i dont think it's a good idea to kill him but we cant very well let him so or keep him here because he is a threat regardless.

... I dont understand why ANY educated Muslim would support of have sympathy for Sadaam Hussein. Sadaam Hussein was a Socialist, and a Nationalist (with a Muslim Name) He killed people in the name of nationalism and personal pride. He did nothing for Islam, He never built anything productive in the eyes of Islam... he shed blood of more Muslims than anybody else... So I dont see why any Muslim would have an ounce of respect for him... Only the ignorant fall into that trap just cuz America put his face up as one of their enemies, they start thinking Hussein is some sort of hero for Muslims.

oh yea and I am all for the death penalty as that is the appropriate punishment for his crimes according to Islamic law

Yes, Muslims (the people) are nationalistic. But No, Islam (the religion itself) does not promote any sort of nationalism. Islam supports ONE Islamic state, and ONE Islamic ruler/government/Khalifah for all Muslims... This is what some people claim to be fighting for (although in reality an Islamic state can not and will not prosper out of violent acts) and the so called Mujahideen need to realize that, and educate themselves and the people instead of trying to fight a battle that cannot be won through conventional warfare for obvious technological and economic disadvantages that they have. Whereas others in the Middle East are fighting for a Nation, lines that Men drew on a map... Israelis and Palestininans killing eachother for decades, Genocidal acts of Saddaam Hussein, the Saudi government opressesing foreigners in their country. All for Pride, in their people, who are not much different from the people in the neighboring countries.

... basically Sadaam Hussein was not doing anything for Muslims he was doing them for Iraqi's. A selected few Iraqi's... And all of a sudden we have Muslims accross the world pretending Hussein was a great man, thinking he's some sort of Hero for Islam.

he should have jail for life. nothing more. nothing less.

and we all knew US and UK would find a way to have him dead. i wonder after hussein's death how the terrorist actions willrise.
