Or international caps/goals!!

And while we are at it, shall we compare Phil Nevilles medal haul with Steven Gerrards?
That's a good point you make but I felt something else had to be brought into it since everyone knows Souness was also great in a tackle & had intelligent vision which he used to cut open defences.

But on the subject of "hardness", he used to dare teams to touch him lol. Juventus being the most famous example where there had been many rumours in the dressing rooms & throughout the press that the Juventus guys were just going to go out & hammer Souness from the first whistle. Once he got wind of it Souness made sure all his players knew that he was to get the ball as often as possible so they could all have their go at him.....& they all failed.

He was a nutter, still is.

But a nice little story of Robbo I remember is...

Man U Vs Wimbledon. 50-50 ball in the middle of the park. Robbo is about 20 yards away from 1 side, Vinny Jones 20 Yards away from the other. Both run in at full pelt. oth fly in and conect with the ball, which doesn't move at all. Jones is in pain and thinks Robson is too. Robson gets up with the ball and runs off. "Now that's a tackle son".

Lovely.

Maybe Robbo shouldn't have won it. I admit there is probably harder. But not to be in the top 20. When Vinny Jones gets so high a mention just because he was dirty. Dirty doesn't = hard.

Oh no, I agree, Jones is overestimated. I've seen harder players at the local park.
