They dont want to do it. they asking me to sign up for some plan shit for $99 that will qualify me for that and will cover that issue. fucking geeks. this one guy who didnt even speak english properly telling me to call him back when the blue screen comes up so i can tell him what exactly says on the screen. (i wonder who puts this people in such places. they cant even speak english. from this to phone companies to hospitals to all kinds of places you call they have retarted people working for them who dont know what they doing).

Yea i am til end of this month. i tell them but they dont wanna do it. they think my warranty doesn't qualify me for this problem. i can't force them to do it over the phone.

Looks like im gonna be reinstalling windows and backing up my files. but i'm gonna buy hard drive to do that. Meyerlansky told me in this thread http://www.streethop.com/forum/thread146774.html which i posted back in september to buy external hard drive to back up my files. but whats the difference between external hard drive and just regular hard drive? is external hard drive only allows you to back up your files during the back up session and it wont let you use it when you use computer or what? also, what differs internal hard drive from external or regular hard drive?
I just need a hard drive about 40gb. only need for back up. i dont need anything fency. just so i can back up my files and thats it. any cheap places online i can?

If its a hardware fault (which it appears to be) It is there responibility. They can't just say 'They don't want to'...I dunno what your laws are over there but you should have somethng similer to the sale of goods act, and that if they don't you gonna sue their ass....

anyways about the harddrive, an external one is slightly more expnsive, but easier to install as it doesnt require opening the case etc, and it can be used just as a normal drive when its plugged in, not just for back up.

I don't know any US sites for buying shit so i cant help u on that point :)

They saying i dont qualify for such 'blue screen' problems coop, i want them to fix it but i cant force them. i will try to call again today and hopefully i speak with different representitive.

About the harddrive, so it seem either external or internal would work fine for back ups.
I searched some harddrives online and i came up with these. could you take a look at these and tell me which one is the best.

Ok i'm back. basically i ended up having technician fixing up my comp still. i was installing windows and in the middle of this process that blue screen came up (while i was installing windows) so i shut down and restart and continued installation where i left of and again blue screen came up. again, over and over blue screen kept coming up. so i took it to technician and he fixed it. he put windows. he put C: and D: drives. on D: drive he put 37gb even though i wanted him to put only 15 he said the comp wouldnt let him put only 15 so he ended up putting 37gb on D: drive and rest on C: I'm going to put program files on D: drive and other stuff on C: drive.

Now, i want to restore my 40gb worth of files from external harddrive back on to comp but it only lets me back up. it wont let me go to restore section so i can restore back on my files. so im thinking just COPY and PASTE thing, is it safe and would it be all arganized as it is now if i do COPY and PASTE restore?

create a new folder on your hard disk and rename it restore, then copy all the files from the external hard disk and paste them to restore folder. Go through the files and keep what you need and delete whatever you dont.

by the way put your program files on C: beacuse thats the windows partition put all of your data such as pictures and movies on D: beacuse if windows crashes which is installed on C: then you still have all of your data which will be on D: plus you computer will run faster that way.
