Ok say take away one touchdown from the steelers, and also give the seahwaks a touchdown, but also take away 3 points that they scored instead of the touchdown guess what, its 14-14, Pittsburgh had the momentum at the end they probably would of won still. Not to mention Seattle's dropped passes and time clock management, and there failure to convert and stop plays everyone knew were coming. Blame your team not the refs, congrats to Pittsburgh.

I never said that the Steelers wouldn't have won cause obvisouly noone knows but still I say the refs changed the game and that's always ba, no matter if it's football, basketball, soccer or whatever.

Having to live in Washington right now, unfortunately, and not being a fan of ANYTHING "Seattle" in sports, period, I have to live with everybody at my work, in my neighborhood, at the grocery store, whining about how the officiating took the win away from the Seahawks. No big deal, at least they lost. Here's my COMPLETELY biased take:

The officiating was terrible the whole season & playoffs for most teams anyway, so it's not a conspiracy towards Seattle, and while we're at it, the officiating for all three major sports (not to mention boxing judges, too), has been REALLY bad this season, the LA Angels/Chicago White Sox playoff comes to mind.

Rothlisberger did not land past the goal line, true (even though he DID seem to cross it in the air, I'm not positive what the rule states), but that's the only one of those disputed calls I'd change. Jackson DID push off. If you give back the Rothlisberger TD, they STILL would've had 4th down, probably taken a FG, which would've made the final score 17-10 PITT. If you give back the SEA pass to the 1 yard line, there's no guarantee they would've scored a TD, just like there was no guarantee for the Rothlisberger score. Fine, you give the SEA pass back, they get stopped, go for a FG, the score is 17-13 PITT.

You can't blame the refs for the coverage on the trick play TD ("Fake-39 Toss X-Reverse Pass, baby!!!). You can't blame the refs for Jerammy Stevens getting Joey Porter revved up, and then playing like HOT GARBAGE until he got benched. You can't blame the refs for Willie Parker going 75 yards for a TD.

Ok, Seattle, you're complaining, what do you suggest? Take the trophy away from Pittsburgh and give it to you? That's what you really want. I have to absorb all this complaining everywhere I go, but you know what, I'LL TAKE IT. I made a lot of $$$ on this game. Seattle lost, that's all I can ask for. And the supposed "millions of people around the country complaining about the refs", well, I didn't see any Seahawks fans in Detroit that night. And I seem to remember 48 out of 50 states overwhelmingly taking the Steelers to win it all (WA and Alaska being the only two for the Seahawks). The point is, nobody outside of Washington State and the frozen wasteland of Alaska, cares about, or even knows where Seattle is.

Pittsburgh is my default AFC pick every year (I follow the NFC, specifically the Packers more than any other team, anyway), so I'm glad I got something right this year, heh. Fuck the Seahawks, fuck their fans, and fuck the city of Seattle, the state of Washington for that matter. You lost, let it go, it's not the first time the Seahawks, or the Mariners, or the Sonics, or the Cougars, or the Huskies lost at something. I can't wait until I get back to Cali.

A few more things:

The pregame show w/ Stevie Wonder was GREAT. I was the only one in the break room at my work singing along and bobbing my head to Stevie. I never get tired of him, he is the genius, the legend, and I'll always have undying respect for the man.

Out of everybody in the world having anything to do w/ New Orleans, why do you get Aaron Neville to sing the National Anthem? I'd rather hear Dr. John mutter his way through the song, or Harry Connick Jr, but Aaron Neville? That guy is HILARIOUS!

Speaking of hilarious, haven't the Rolling Stones been legally dead for the last 20-30 years, I know Keith Richards died sometime in the 1800s, but it's nice to see them crawl out of their graves and put on the exact same boring show they've put on for decades.

I missed the damn Lingerie Bowl, did anybody see it? Was it any good?
