Technology Possible Ps3 graphics..pics inside

^^ That article is a rehash of the IGN article.
And for the record, I expect ps3 and xbox360 graphics to be a LOT better than those screen shots, they arent that impressive. I mean they are, but its not that huge a leap from something like Doom 3 or the new Splinter Cell. Im expecting a much larger jump, like 16 bit to 32 was, not like PS1 to PS2, which really wasnt THAT big.

as ruk said earlier, this is all hype and no console has EVER lived up to it's hype. I remember when ps2 was coming out and they had the demo for tekken playing, it was as if it was real life, got the console and i was utterly dissapointed in the graphics. The news made a big deal about the ps2's technology being equivalent to misslie seeking technology. Woopdi doo.
The xbox was a big dissapointment also. I got the console after seeing a racing game demo and halo demo thinking it was the biggest thing since sliced bread. Seeing the graohics and compraring to what actually got released was just plain and utter bullshit. Mind you having all 3 consoles (dreamcast as well), i became an xbox fan because of the capabilities of when it could be chipped. I bought some awesome Supervideo cables that enhanced the graphics further and i fell in love with it. My ps2 and dreamcast just started gathering dust. Mind you i'm happy with the new splinter cell graphics. Such a top game also.
Staying on topic (sorry for getting side tracked), wait till e3 where both consoles make there demo's. But even then don't be so quick to judge because the final product still may be very different since both have about 6 months to tweak and fuck around with their developments.
I can't wait though, since i love my consoles, i'll most likely get both and then decide which one i like most.
And as ruk said just before, i expect the graphics to be better than the pics posted. The only thing that was half impressive was the yellow car.

^^ Blah blah blah Ive heard that so often im sick of it lol. Its such a cop out seriously. Quality over quantity. Who the hell can afford to buy all the games anyway?

lol @ mgs having better stealth than splinter cell, Splinter Cell's stealth is completely different to Metal Gear's, meaning that different approaches are needed, for instance the usage of the camera, Splinter Cell is better because of the free roaming camera, you have to use the camera to your advantage and search for each element in the game to succeed, but in MGS you have this fixed camera view in each area so of course if there is something you're looking for it's going to be somewhere in the camera view

Why does everyone say ps2 has shitty graphics? Just because your precious xbox has better graphics doesn't mean ps2 is shitty. And not all their games are crappy either. I don't get this board. It seems as though its ok to shit on ps2 all day but if anyone says 1 good thing about ps2 they are fanboys. Too much hypocrisy.
