I used to be christian, but I wasn't raised religious really so I'm not religious. Most of my friends are Muslim but aren't that religious anymore either. It's more important what u feel in your heart in my opinion

I have a great deal of respect and admiration for all religions.

I was born and raised Catholic, and I am also very attracted to Buddhist philosophy, so I would consider myself a Buddhist-Christian, and there are a lot more of us than you may think.

I admire Catholicism because of the family-like structure. Go to your local church anywhere in the world and chances are they will welcome you with open arms no matter what your religion is. If you're ever need of help and advice, even if you are homeless and alone, go to a church and they will take care of you. The Catholic church gets a bad rep but honestly they are some of the friendliest, warm-hearted people you will ever meet. The most important part: The story of Jesus is a source of inspiration and love.

Buddhism is a beautiful thing that really guides people on the path to happiness through compassion. Buddha taught to respect all religions and embrace people no matter who they are and what they've done. Meditation is an awesome tool to get there.

I have been christened, but I don't really belong to it.

I wouldn't convert because religion holds nothing for me. I have no interest. I never believed in conventional religion and over my life I have come to believe that there is no god. Especially this week. If there is a god then he is an evil, immature being who takes pleasure in others pain. Sadistic is the word.

I do find religions interesting though and got some texts for christmas that explain some of the weirder, lesser know religions. I have also read the bible and Qu'ran.

Christianity, but I look on Buddhism as a philosophy rather than a religion, and find it fits well with Christian views. I apply both.

Agnostic Jewish? Agnostic means you belief in god, but not in convential religion. So how can you be into Judaism and be agnostic?

Either you're Jewish or Agnostic. No?

I am prodestant, but like many of you I would not class myself as hardcore. I also believe that religion brings the worst in people sometimes as sombody already posted. You just have to look at northen ireland that shit is fucked up over there. Even at the war in iraq I know that the war over there is not over religion but look at how muslims have been affected by this they are taking the bad rap because of 9/11 and the london underground bombings when it is a few bad apples that spoil it for everyone. I in no way condon any sort of religious hatred or violence just because one persons believes are different than another is no reason to hate or fear sombody. the people who have a lot of power and influence like president Bush and tony blair should set a better example and show greater restraint.

I thought agnostic was someone who thought it was impossible to know if there really is a god...
"An agnostic does not deny the existence of God and heaven but holds that one cannot know for certain whether or not they exist."

Yeah looks like my definition was a little wrong.

"Agnostics may claim that it isn't possible to have absolute or certain spiritual knowledge or, alternatively, that while certainty may be possible, they personally have no such knowledge. In both cases, agnosticism involves some form of skepticism towards religious statements."

But I still don't see how you can be Agnostic Jewish.

Die now. He means that he's not sure if there's a God, but his family's religion is Judaism and that's the religious tradition he's grown up in. You can be agnostic any religion.

A lot of people call themselves whatever their family's religion is whether they believe or not. Just because someone is not sure of God or their religion doesn't mean they renounce the whole thing. It's a means of cultural identification.

I'm an agnostic atheist. ;)
