^^why? It was almost impossible to break down that Italian defense. They were unreal. They defended superbly for 120 minutes. Im glad Spain won though, because they tried to win the game in normal and extra time where Italy sat back and waited for a chance even though the best chance of the game fell to Camoranesi. The reason Italy had to play so defensively? Well they can hardly play attacking football with a lone striker like Luca Toni in the team. Cassano did some nice things but was never really in the game. He has played as more of a left midfielder in tournament as opposed to playing up front.
I remember i was slated after the first game for comments i made about Toni.I think i was 100% correct about him as a tally of 0 goals in 4 games proves. He had plenty of chances too. im usually right when it comes to football matters. You certainly wont get Bachaveli type comments from me.:amazed: not trying to be arrogant either.
Anyway, Aragones is very lucky. How can a player like Fabregas not start. How can you take off Torres when he did. He was playing ok up against a brilliant defense. And why were Xavi(although Fabregas offers more imo) and Iniesta taken off so soon. He faces a big decision in the next game, whether to play Fabregas or Xavi. I would go with Fabregas although Xavi wasnt bad or anything.
