^^why? It was almost impossible to break down that Italian defense. They were unreal. They defended superbly for 120 minutes. Im glad Spain won though, because they tried to win the game in normal and extra time where Italy sat back and waited for a chance even though the best chance of the game fell to Camoranesi. The reason Italy had to play so defensively? Well they can hardly play attacking football with a lone striker like Luca Toni in the team. Cassano did some nice things but was never really in the game. He has played as more of a left midfielder in tournament as opposed to playing up front.

I remember i was slated after the first game for comments i made about Toni.I think i was 100% correct about him as a tally of 0 goals in 4 games proves. He had plenty of chances too. im usually right when it comes to football matters:D. You certainly wont get Bachaveli type comments from me.:amazed: not trying to be arrogant either.

Anyway, Aragones is very lucky. How can a player like Fabregas not start. How can you take off Torres when he did. He was playing ok up against a brilliant defense. And why were Xavi(although Fabregas offers more imo) and Iniesta taken off so soon. He faces a big decision in the next game, whether to play Fabregas or Xavi. I would go with Fabregas although Xavi wasnt bad or anything.

^^yea i know but i wouldn't judge Spain because of their performance against Italy. If Russia were playing Italy they would have found it extremely tough to break down Italy as well.Italy always have superb defenders. Cheillini is the new Cannavaro. brilliant piece of stuff.

Casillas is a great keeper as is Buffon. the two top keepers in the World and two of the best of all time imo.

haha as a proud (half) russian, this has been a fantastic tournament.

we got off to such a slow start, being pummeled by Spain 3-1. but then we lifted our game and are riding on our momentum. this is great.

spain is weak. no offence to any bull fighters here but your team is sucking. such quality players but you guys are bumming out. doesnt seem to be any tact or control, or any passion in their game.

the russians are on fire, and have got that Stolichnya shit running through their veins. we will completely ravage the spaniards because we got the heart, we got the momentum, and we got the collective game play.

Russia 2 Spain 1

Spain to score first, then Russia will equalise in the second half. Second goal will come in the final 25 minutes of the second half.

Why it was a poor game? Because there was no pace and there were nearly no chances at all on both sites in 120 minutes. Incredible lame.
like expected if italy plays and that's why I'm so happy they lost. They didn't deserve it, they just play whatI call 'anti soccer' ... all they try to do, and they are good at it I admit, is trying to destroy the game. Yesterday was a perfect example, they didn't even seriously tried 2 score, they didn't seriously attack. I hate the way Italy plays soccer and damn, I'm smiling because they lost. Get that ugly shit out of here, seriously.

Apart from the France game, Toni was starved of any ball provided by the midfield. He played well agaisnt Romania and scored a perfectly good goal. How could Toni score against Spain with the way Italy played? Hes not the first big name player to struggle in a tournament.

'Im usually right when it comes to football matters?' :weird:

And you have had a few Bachiveli comments in the past, but I chalk that upto just things said right after a match. When emotions run high and all that crap.

Xavi > Fabregas. Xavi patrols the middle of the park better than most players, he is essential for Spain and a definate starter, he is possibly the best passer in the world, he slowly keeps Spain ticking.

Fabregas is highly talented, and if anyones place is underthreat for Spain it would be Iniesta, mostly because playing wide right isn't suited for his game, nor is it for Fabregas for that matter (Aroganos fucked up by not taking someone like Joaquin or Capel) but Iniesta has played there for Barcelona quite alot.

On another note, I quite like that Cazorla. Also I hate it when Motson calls Guiza, Geezer...

^^no i am 100% right. you are just too stubborn to admit it.i have been proven to be right.Toni got plenty of chances in 4 matches. He had 13 shots in the first 3 games and only 2 were on target. He just isnt that good of a player. He had chances last night. Even the Italians say that he isnt great. But of course you must be right.

so basically you are comparing me to bachaveli? i have his level of football knowledge is that it? i suppose its time for me to leave then. its a fucker when people cant admit they are wrong. See the thing is, i form my opinion from what i see.Maybe you should do the same and stop believing all the hype around certain players.

"Is it Donadoni's fault? Well, all I can say is that a coach who has someone like Toni shouldn't have played him until the end. He didn't have the courage to replace him with Borriello,” Signori told Radio Anchio Sport."
Bachaveli type comments there from the great Beppe Signori. Similar to what i said originally.

please guys, watch your language, we don't want this to get out of hands. Let's just say Toni couldn't make the Italiens win, it wasn't enough so ... they're gone.

Jesus, why are you mad? No I never said you have the level of Bachi's football knowledge, I said "you have a had a few..." etc. See the difference?

I will LOL at the rest, I remember your "Eto'o is in poor form" comment even though he ad 12 goals in 14 games, so why don't you do what you say and form your opinion by watching the games?

And why do you assume I'm believing the hype? :wondering: Didn't you just qoute Signori saying Toni shouldn't of ended the game, so there is no hype there.

There is no watching of languages unless mothers are involved.
Football is ugly at times, especially the way Italy played lol. So let the shit talking continue.

Horrah.

PS: Borrielo > Toni.
