Don't mention Seedorf, goddammit.

Van Basten is an idiot. In his period as national coach he has managed to piss off three important players. RVN, who thank the Lawd has been reconciled, Seedorf now twice, and van Bommel who isn't coming at all.

Brilliant work, Marco. He obviously has no people skills, as the whole Ajax-Cruijff situation also attests.

Our weak point is controlling/defensive midfield and defense.

Mathijssen vs. Mutu? Please no...

Spain's Squad:

Goalkeepers: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid), Pepe Reina (Liverpool), Andrés Palop (Sevilla).

Defenders: Carles Puyol (Barcelona), Juanito (Real Betis), Arbeloa (Liverpool), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Fernando Navarro (RCD Mallorca), Raúl Albiol (Valencia), Carlos Marchena (Valencia), Joan Capdevila (Villarreal).

Midfielders: Cesc (Arsenal), Andrés Iniesta (Barcelona), Xavi Hernández (Barcelona), Rubén de la Red (Getafe), Xabi Alonso (Liverpool), David Silva (Valencia), Santiago Cazorla (Villarreal), Marcos Senna (Villarreal).

Forwards: Fernando Torres (Liverpool), Daniel González Güiza (RCD Mallorca), David Villa (Valencia), Sergio García (Real Zaragoza).

notable ommisions are Raul and Joaquin.

Raul was great for Real Madrid this season and Joaquin is a class player despite Valencia's poor season. He was Spains best player whenever he played at the last 2 World Cups imo.

It's interesting that the Spaniards have only one real Spaniard in their Midfield.

And leaving Raul out is an idiocy.

Leaving Raul out and then including Sergio Garcia? Wtf..

Spains midfield is pretty good, despite its lack of wingers. Last season Joaquin/Rieria/Reyes/Vicente would be competing.

Nah Flamini will surely be there. Malouda and Govou should make it as well.

Gomis is supposed to be the new Drogba.A lot of clubs after him.

Trezequet finished second in the Serie a scoring charts this season. One goal behind Del Piero. That is unless Genoa's Marco Borriello scores a hat-trick today.

I think Aragones will have Torres and Villa up front. If Raul was left on the bench then he might not be happy with it.Then you will have the Spanish media putting pressure on Aragones to include him the team.
