i apologize for that but im in a pissed off mood at the moment and that guy annoys the hell out of me.

Toni has two games to prove that he is a real top wolrd class striker.im not hating on the guy. He is a good professional but i just have my doubts about his ability to perform at the very highest level.i hope he does prove me wrong because i prefer Italy to France. Maybe if they got more crosses into him he might do something in the air.Obviously he has the likes of Ribery to assist him at Bayern. He needs better support. Cassano and Del Piero can offer him that. we will see though.

Toni missed a massive, massive chance, but he's a good striker. Not excellent, but good.

But hey, I hear a lot about how poor Italy was, and they weren't that brilliant, but c'mon, the Dutch ruled the pitch tonight. Even under heavy pressure in the second half, or weak defence proved to be a lot stronger than many think, lol.

And our offense, yeah...well...say hi?

You don't beat Italy 3-0 by playing "just good". We fucking rocked, and anyone that disagrees can suck my hairy nuts. And you lot know I'm not that chauvinistic anyway.

the game just ended 20 minutes ago...i missed the first 30 minutes of it and italy was already losing 2-0...im really surprised at how bad Italy was playing....it makes me wonder how they even pulled off winning the world cup in 06...was that skill..or just a fluke? better luck next time italy.

though the Euro cup isn't even half way finished....im very much looking forward to the confederation cup next year. ill be rooting for Brazil hands down.

In regard to Toni:

How can you seriously say hes not a world-class striker? You must be out of your mind or have no clue about football (or you just hate italy.lol). The guy scored thousand goals in italy, not in just one season (and not for a big team either), scored 24 in germany in his first year, scored 12 or something in the UEFA cup, scored a very important one for italy in the very first minutes against scotland, and so on...

Cassano over Toni? Wtf? Ok, im not sure what game you guys are playing but for me, a strikers main task is to score. Toni does it better than nearly everyone else. If he looks clumsy or not doesnt matter.

My point is( yet again i have to explain) that i dont think Toni is a world class striker because he hasnt proven himself on the highest stage. He has never played in the Champions League an in my opinion he was poor in the last World Cup and again last night. He has poor technique, little skill, didnt hold onto the ball when he got it, made poor runs. The two chances he got in the game were awful attempts. At this level, these chances have to be taken.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy is a world class striker. Are you gonna tell me that Toni is as good as him? Well , you have said as much by labeling Toni as world class. Tell me this, was Les Ferdiand ever considered to be a great world class striker in your eyes?

I admit that Toni's goalscoring record is impressive and he is not a bad player but i just dont think he has ever proven himself at the highest stage like Inzaghi or Del Piero for example. But he can still prove me wrong and i hope he does. So far, after seeing him play at World Cup 2006 and last night, i havent been impressed by him.

Talked to a few Italiano's after the match while I was out. All of them wished Toni didn't start. They were hoping Quagliarella or Cassano would have started. One guy at the Pub's exact words: "I like watching Toni play for his club, but when it comes to the NT, he should be watching from the bench"

Just saying what I've been hearing around here.

and... LOL @ the confederations cup.

yea Duke, Holland played great. They have so many attacking options. There were question marks over the defense, but i think they will do.Van Bronkhurst was brilliant. Sneijder and Kuyt had very good games as well.

you idiot, he said
he was poor in the last World Cup and again last night.
the fact that he sucked last night just proved his point that he constantly sucks in big games.

After 10 years in America, you can't use the "I'm an immigrant and it's normal that I can't understand half a sentance in english" Argument you fucking idiotic piece of shit. Stop wasting everyone else's air and die.

Slice your punk ass up for being gay you paddy.

Quit contradicting yourself. First you say you're not basing your opinion based on one game then you say he was poor in last nights game. Make up your mind. Which one is it?

Oh really? sherlock

Listen you confused d-bag, Toni does not have to do anything to prove your airhead ass that he is a world class striker. He has already proven that in bundesliga and in national team. Everybody but you agrees on this. 6.7 billion homosapian say yes to this. You're the only confused homosapian.
lmao @ the diss.

In response to you 2nd and 3rd paragraphs- Re-read my post and get English lessons.

As for your last paragraph. Everyone i have talked about the match with today agrees with me about Toni.

So Luca Toni is as good as Torres, RVN, Adebayor, Inzaghi, Ronaldo etc.?Thats basically what you are saying by labeling him as world class. Get the fuck out of here, you know nothing about football.

Spain will play three good games and then they will fail again. As always.

Edit: 3:1. Now we have seen one of spains biggest weaknesses, in my opinion: They are so small.lol

Yes he is. Exclamation point.
If he is truly world class it will be obvious and everyone will agree that he is world class.

That's sort of the definition of world class...

If there is doubt, he's not world class.

Sometimes it can be so, so simple...

Some of y'all need to chill out a little bit.

So we've seen every team apart from Sweden and Greece who play tonight.

Who have you guys been impressed with?

Pretty good tournament so far, the Dutch and Spanish have impressed me the most, both putting in quality performances and getting good results. David Villa for the golden boot me thinks. Maybe they're actually starting to play to their potential.

Impressed by only one game? I would be careful.

Im neither impressed by Spain, who faced a weak Russian team (yes, they were weak. Did you see their defense? I didnt.lol) nor by Holland because they were not 3 goals better than Italy. Although, i have to admit, it was still a great game by the dutch team.
